Therefore, she needs to cultivate to protect herself and to prevent the ghost king from taking her when the time comes.

Fortunately, she has a strong and healthy body, and a golden finger (cheat) that basically gives points when she awes or shocks people or slap face (figuratively), and is willing to work hard to reap any advantage she can.

I have been enjoying it so far, it gives demon sword maiden vibes, but the main character don’t make so many silly decisions, every choice seems reasonable, at least so far, I hope it continues like that. The antagonists on the other hand, seem dumb and reckless, but since the protagonist needs to slap face to gain points and it’s satisfying... who cares! <<less

It’s a cultivation x gates x player novel. Unremarkable guy is reincarnated into the body of a very naturally talented woman, who for some unexplained reason is engaged to the Ghost King and has 4 years to grow strong enough to escape. Her ‘cheat’ is that in her mind, she has a system that makes her gacha and control monsters RTS style to gain cultivation rewards in reality.

It’s actually a surprisingly good story. Unlike most genderbend stories, this one at least tries to touch on sexism and issues like weapons/techniques... more>> are mostly catered towards men.

However, the translation is pretty rough. It’s 90% readable from ch 1-40, but after 40, it becomes at best 60% readable. People change gender 3 times in the same chapter (the he, shes, are mixed up a lot). Some people randomly gain a Japanese name (Ying Luo -> Sakura Luo, Lian -> Rei, etc). Names of places are very inconsistent and change multiple times in the same chapter, though it’s not too hard to guess since you know the location they were going.

Also, the author definitely has a smell fetish and it’s a bit creepy. Literally every 2 paragraphs our MC leaves behind a “Lingering fragrance” or a “Feminine Scent.” <<less

I would have liked this story alot more if the world building and characters were to be more in line with each other. In this world, the gender discrimination should be very little due to it being a modern setting xianxia story, yet alot of male one-off characters are very sexist toward the MC who is female. The world setting even stated there are many op female figures in that world, so the view point of male being better than female of those one-off character just served as a back... more>> hand hush back to the MC that hinder character grow rather than helping it. Those characters also just served at fodders to farm point and would not effected the story at all which is just adding wasted potentials to the story. Also the small undertone of how china is better than western nations is not very sustle. <<less
