Great short novel with a cliche premise and a twist

I love that MC didn't suddenly fall for ML but it was an eventual step by step process.

The character whom I loved and pitied the most is the ML. So damb charming, a green FOREST

This is such a short yet sweet novel. The MC comes from a family of green teas, what's funny is that her dad is the authentic green tea while her mother is an iceberg swordswoman who isn't aware that everyone in the family except her is a green tea.

The general (our ml) is a love brain while the 2ML is a green tea yandere. The 2ML is the kind of person who would be the ml, if it had been any other novel. Has a scheming family, possessive of MC... more>> and often plays tricks so that the MC would divorce her husband.

This makes me wonder if the so called scheming and manipulative ML's are nothing but the male counterpart of green tea villainesses

I really love the green tea family of MC although compared to her family, MC wasn't really that "green" and later, she didn't bother to hide herself in front of ML so we didn't get to see much MC being green tea.

ML had a severe love brain but that's why MC's father chose him for MC. 2nd ML was a bit pitiful though. Maybe he would be more lucky if he landed on domineering CEO novel, not this one.

Short and sweet not to mention it's hilarious!

Shen Yue (ML) is a love-brain. Green tea doesn't work on him unless it's his wife doing it. Green tea killer also doesn't work on him. His brain is wired differently. (Where do I order one of these species for a husband?)

MC's father is iconic, turning green tea into a family secret arts lol I'd love to read how he green tea'd his way to marriage.

His actions even after she's married is disgusting too, it makes you question if he really loves MC or is just obsessed. To everyone out there, please don't be like him. It's not cute. Really, really liked this!

It has such a comedic undertone with the FL being a green tea herself and having a green tea family. The antics of her father was hilarious. He is through and through a girl-dad though. Even her elder sister is a green tea lol.

But most of all, I think l liked how a green tea was ultimately defeated by a love-brain. The ML, Shen Yue, was sooo cute!

The second ML, Lin Yubai, is the stereotypical male lead in historical romance novels. His ending may seem a bit... more>> sad but I do not feel bad at all. Guys should really learn how to chase girls. If you pull a girl's ponytail, it is no way in hell romantic. It's giving weird. Girls are NOT impressed by this.

I would take a Shen Yue over a Lin Yubai anyday!

Overall, a short sweet bingeworthy historical novel. Not much drama and plenty of laughs. Will definitely recommend! <<less

Except the FL is not that great, coming from a family of Green Tea, her tea-making is not that good. Yet, her father rightfully sets her up with a total delulu lovebrain. As expected of the great Green Tea mind.

Very cute couple. An innocent and adorable ML. A speck of angst + drama.

A wonderful and unique read.

Super cute story. MC, Chu Shanshan, and her family are unique. ML, Shen Yue, is a sweetheart. A short, feel good story.

MC's dad selected ML as MC's husband cause he would be easy to manage. MC's dad thought that her green tea skills were not high level enough to survive in other environments.

MC didn't love ML at first but ML was truly loved MC. Even after her true character was exposed, ML refused to divorce MC. In the end, MC fell in love with ML once she started paying attention to ML.

I enjoyed this funny short story about a weak green tea FL who comes from a family of green teas. It's so funny! I love the doting ML who just has a lovebrain for the FL.

As many reviews have mentioned, second ML is too domineering and ridiculous.
