Like alright, I'll give it to the author that maybe MC was too shocked to really comprehend the situation, but come on, at least explain the situation a bit better. For example, his feelings as he was falling, how he's not actually dead, just for damn sake some reaction instead of the MC being so calm. The discrepancy of how he was falling and suddenly appearing at his town could have been interesting to read, but nah. Nothing.
