For three years, my boyfriend never gave me flowers. But on May 20th, he picked out a bouquet of white roses for my best friend.

I bought flowers to pick him up after work, only to catch him handing the bouquet and gift to her.

I confronted him in tears, but he merely glanced at me indifferently, “Just thanking her for helping me out, don’t make a fuss.”

Later, he planted roses all over the hills for me, eyes red with regret, begging me to come back.

I could only wave the bridal bouquet in my hand, “Sorry, you’re too late.”
