Tags are few and the synopsis is vague so here I am for a first review.

The story takes place in a strategy game with RPG elements that our protagonist has played before. The setting of the world is that countries take part in a divine conflict with rules and the winner gains powerful benefits. The novel starts with our character transmigrated into the king of a nation about to fall. In addition to the rewards from the game the Royal family and higher-ups of a fallen nation are ens*aved by divine chains to the winners. His knights want him to end his own life to avoid the dishonor of being used in this way. He escapes his captured capital and scurries off into the world. Everyone assumes he died somewhere because they've never encountered the situation they are now in. Our protagonist knows that he hasn't lost if he claims another territory within 30 days of losing his last one. If you've ever played an older strategy game to the late game you know the pain of playing whack-a-mole to kill every last enemy unit or builder or hero to cinch the victory. Our protagonist is that little final unit running around preventing victory. He manages to claim a minor territory by taking advantage of game knowledge and holds it briefly but long enough to reset his 30 day timer and continue on. He knows he won't be able to hold the territory and won't have to live with the consequences of his policies so he burns money and resources to farm reputation during his short time in charge. He then yeets off into the night leaving his opponents deeply confused when they retake the territory with a full army and no struggle.

I'm into the overall vibe so far. Our protagonist is scurrying around the map like a rat gaining power while occasionally having to claim a territory to prevent his loss while his enemies pull their hair out trying to stop a single determined guy with their conventional armies and tactics. It's a bit early so we'll see if this is how the story ends up going or if it turns into a regular kingdom builder later. I'm interested to see how it develops.

The translation by BOTI reads well enough. I think they're one of the better mass release translators. I assume by the large amount and frequency of their releases it's done en masse by AI. This one has had more errors than other BOTI novels I've read recently. The only thing to worry about with BOTI translations is usually is inconsistent proper nouns and this had it pop up a fair few times. A character first named Gloria became Glovia in short order and so far has stayed Glovia. They used the word "power" out of the blue to explain something and contextually it seems a bit vague and perhaps should have had further explanation/better word choice. The name of a kingdom has slipped a few times as well. <<less
