Im so glad this has been picked up! This is one of my favorite novels! Although it is not exactly the happy ending I usually look for, I love it!

IMO, it is written well and the psychology of the main characters are explained well that you can understand why the character turned out that way (though I cant accept MLs char a bit ʕಠɷಠʔ). I also loved the dialogue between MC and ML especially the heart wrenching ones ... more>>

The story was interesting, FL was likable not he brightest but pretty likable, I was sad reading all the things that she had to go through, even tho' she was inocent the fate did her dirty...

ML was the typical, cold possessive yandere ML in one word tr*sh but barely recyclable, there is an redemption arc but not to intense in my opinion.

But all this aside the story was good, the plot keeps you engaged and it's not boring, there is angst, but also fluff, if this is the genre that... more>> you're looking for it's a good read, I liked it. <<less

Song Luan woke up transmigrated into a book as cannon-fodder that will be mu*dered by her own husband and son. Her character in the book was depicted as a promiscuous woman that also ab*sed her son. So, Song Luan vowed to avoid the same ending. She started being nice to both her husband and son. As time goes by, her husband also started to fall in love with her but, the seal was deal. She only had months left to live because of the poison in her body... more>> had been eating her organs.

Zhao Nanyu who was in grieved couldn't handle the truth. Especially knowing that they had went through three lifetimes together and all those lifetimes ended on a bad note. Somehow, he was given another chance and even though he knew Song Luan couldn't love him, he was settled with knowing that his love can cover for the both of them.

I was always confused with what yandere truly mean until I got to know Zhao Nanyu. He was the true definition of wolf in sheep's clothing. Some may hate this story and some may love it. It had a similar vibe with Good Bye, My Princess. <<less

Hi fellow historical fiction enthusiasts,

I just finished this novel, and oh my, I didn't expect to be hooked until the very end!

The storyline was captivating, even though I generally don't like the tragedy genre. I accidentally picked up this novel, and the romance was heart-wrenching, devoid of fluff, and full of pity. There weren't many conflicts, and overall, we can understand each character's feelings. Surprisingly, I never once found myself bored or disliking it. The female lead was well-written—not s*upid, and genuinely pitiable. Her logic was sound throughout, though... more>> it might have been nice if she had eventually fallen in love with the man. However, it makes sense why she didn't, considering there was no love from the beginning. I have no complaints about her character.

The male lead was indeed cruel, dominating, and egoistic. Not only him, but there were other characters like him as well. I think the author has a penchant for domineering men, haha. His romantic gestures were suffocating. This novel lacks traditional romance, and if you read it, you might also feel that it was fitting given their heartbreaking story. After so long, I've finally managed to read a tragedy novel that I truly enjoyed but I must say I will not repeat this story tho..

I think it was a great story, especially love the tragedy of their first live, but can’t help but think it’s not much of a reckoning for the male lead. Yes she doesn’t love him, but she’s still with him, participating in activities, bearing children and having the illusion of warm family.

i love how it ended! (Will not read extra stories bcs I am already contented with the ending)

It's a good read. The characters have depth, the story has great potential.

The male lead has committed many injustices and I am glad that this is a story where all is not forgiven.

Even tho this novel can be considered "your typical yandere novel", I still enjoyed it, because it was different in a way. Like the plot is not exactly a one that keeps repeating. I would have liked it, if there was more explanation to this whole transmigration thing.

But overall, it's good and I definitely recommend it.

It's was a good story not a truly happy ending but a interesting story that I keep reading straight in two days.

So about the ML I hate/like him but most hate him for what he do to MC.

I like so much huaijin also MC's son Zhao Zhi he is so cute.

Also for the extra chapter about the past princess I feel so bad for her that it make me cry TT. TT

I can't really forgive ML but I do pity him...

The ML was a real yandere. Someone whose thought process is really one of a kind.

The FL was a rational person. Someone who is not head over heals smitten by the ML.

The context of the story is very hard to explain in general since they incorporated their previous lives together however, I liked the fact that I was especially drawn into the emotions of the female lead especially towards the ending while her story as the princess was unveiled. There were times while reading this that I wasn’t sure if I liked it. The ML is true yandere and it was somewhat annoying. However, I am so glad I read it through! I think this might be one of my top 5 reads.

Story is pretty choppy and there are plot holes everywhere?? Either the translation is not translating well or the author just turning a blind eye. I doubt she likes him, she will die remember?

These two poor women living with two demons. They have to make do with their abusive husband.

P/s: To the reviewer that said s/he will obey the ML and label the FL as s*upid, you're s*upider. You love doormat characters huh? <<less

It's very draggy and there's no smut. The characters are also nothing special, I feel nothing for them. MC is typical and the husband is just overbearing husband. It's basically very bland and boring.

I really thought this novel had potential for more. The female protagonist is so weak and useless, always fooled by and afraid of the male lead, who is a total control freak. Usually I don't mind possessive characters, but this is immensely annoying because he takes over every aspect of her life and she doesn't nor can do anything about it. She's also from a powerful family who loves and spoils her but she makes no use of that advantage. The story is well written, the other characters are complex and cool, and the story has some deepness to it. However, there is no character development, and although I get it that the time period when the story occurs is more traditional and women weren't as highly regarded as men, the female lead and other female characters (like Ayun) are so weak and bullied that it gets annoying. I've really tried to give this book a chance and I kept reading until chapter 78, but I will drop this now.

It is quite frustrating to be honest.

At the beginning I really liked it but then, near the end...I don´t know if I should be glad or not of the fact that the MC feelings are so--- flat. I feel like she was literally robbed of her freedom to feel by her past self and thus is bereft of her right to choose naturally whether she still likes him/can like him or not.

I mean, it looks like a good ending but the tag tragedy IS really there for a good reason.

a) she drank wine in front of her husband even though she KNEW (and this was mentioned in that same chapter she got drunk at) that the original owner’s body was weak to alcohol. She’s afraid of the dude, and being drunk exposes truths. Why would she not be so on guard?

And b) this is mainly author’s fault for forcing specific events instead of letting character’s personalities drive the story. She wanted to create romance between the two (showing off MC’s unwillingness and fear of him as her enticing ML’s sadism instead), which just ruins the characters for me. The MC feels like she wants to avoid the ML’s attention (which she was in the beginning), but at the same time, it’s like she’s pretending to do so. Kinda tiring to read of reincarnated MC’s where initially, they wanted to avoid ML, but then lowkey don’t want to cause “Wow! I can’t help but be in awe of ML’s earth-shattering beauty!” Like idk dude, that’s the guy who’ll burn you to death if you annoy him well enough. I would definitely steer clear. <<less

The story is well written. The angst scene can really hit me, a bit hurtful. But idk, it's just their relationship, both MC makes me feel a bit weird. Maybe because of the drama was on and on again give me a mixed feelings. Well, like the tag written above he's obsessive and yandere. So, this novel truly can bring out an obsessive type of guy.

I sort of can understand FL pov about ML, how she lack a feeling toward him. First, she believe that she only live in a book, and ML is just another character in a novel. She remind herself that she's just a spectator. So, when she dreams about her past, she doesn't really feel anything cause she thinks it's not really her. Even I think that three of Song Luan somewhat feels like a different person (the princess, the poisonous wife before, and one from the future).

While the ML, he's broken when he stab her heart cause she begging him to kill her. When the Taoist master show him his past, he believe it right away because that's what he feel, the heartache in his heart was the same.
