It’s my first time writinf a review despite reading hundreds of novel here but I’m writing it for the first time because I want to thank the translators for translating this masterpiece

The developments is just so good, and reading this book made me cry bc of a little bit of angst and then they just give us a very very big fluff

OMG, ratings on NU have been completely out of wack these days! My enjoyment of this novel was immense - while it doesn't bring anything particularly new to the school romance genre, this novel was refreshing. You have your usual tropes, like the funny side characters, the school flower asking the ML out, and all of that jazz, but they're done well and I feel like this novel is a good examples of tropes done right.

I loved the MC! He's so sweet but also stubborn and impulsive; he's insecure, scared,... more>> but hopeful; he was very, very human, and I had a lot of sympathy for him. Agh, he was just so cute and adorable!! I gradually warmed up to the ML as well - at first I was unsure of how to feel about him (there were moments when I thought he was being too much, but objectively the MC seems a little too harsh/cold in the beginning so retroactively I understand why he behaved the way he did), but as the novel progresses he fleshes out more as a character. Both the MC and ML have been through so much in their lives, and their relationship is so swoonworthy! [BTW, I think it's important to mention here that YES WE DO GET R18 SCENES!!! I was so shook lmao (also not to spoil too much but the R18 stuff does happen a little abruptly, like almost immediately after they get together lol) ]

Overall, I thought the novel was paced nicely too. I really dislike when things happen too fast (and thus they seem somewhat illogical), but in this story it takes time for the MC to warm up towards the ML and his friends and the same goes for them. There's a lot of growth in the MC's character, and he goes from being uncommunicative, impulsive, and cold to learning how to trust others and putting down his walls. The CP progressed at a good pace too - initially, the MC and the ML are indifferent towards each other, the ML slowly becomes interested in who the MC is as a person, and in getting to know the MC, the two bu*t heads and fight but also get to learn more about each other in the process. I was very satisfied!

Anyway, this review is just one giant ramble lol. It's very possible that I'm biased and giving this a higher rating than it deserves, as I like the school romance genre (and the subsequent tropes) and because this is the first danmei that has managed to keep me interested from start to finish in a while (it's been like four months.... T.T I think I'm in a reading slump), but I sincerely enjoyed reading this. Of course, as with any novel, there are some flaws, but nothing that really detracted from my reading experience (one of which is that I wish we got more university extras!!!!). Overall, my rating is a 4.5/5 stars! <<less

It’s a generic school life BL but still quite enjoyable. The romance is slow brewing, but it escalates substantially once both parties confess. Also props to the translator for doing a wonderful job.

My main reason for writing this review is to express by confusion over the “s*xual ab*se” tag. Where did that come from???? Please don’t misunderstand this novel because of that off-putting tag, there’s no such thing in this novel. Though there is domestic violence—subjected upon the MC’s family and himself as a child by his father. Also I want to express my appreciation for Mio Silu, he is adorable (heart). <<less

This is a beautiful story. At no point, did it feel, out of place or off putting- the flow was extremely smooth, the couple makes sense together, and the MC & ML are well written characters.

I do wish the other characters were built on a deeper level as well. I wished the story was longer, giving more insight into the gong's personality. I liked the extras, definitely but I feel, if the author would have turned them into volumes, exploring how the relationship progressed with other aspects of life- that... more>> would have been lovely too.

But all in all, I fell in love with these two with each chapter and couldn't stop myself until I finished the entire thing.

Cute story even cried at the climax towards the end. Because of the ages the author started the story at more time was spent detailing their school life and when they finally did get together their couple interactions always felt so rushed
