The werewolf Sixx, born and raised in the wandering monster circus, receives an order from the ringmaster to meet a guest one night. The guest turns out to be Malon Cage, the underworld boss of the mafia organization that controls Portland. Sixx trembles in fear, but Malon, claiming he has no such hobby, rests himself against the transformed Sixx, who has turned into a wolf, and falls asleep.

Similar visits follow several times, and Sixx gradually begins to like Malon, who treats him as an equal. Meanwhile, within the circus, there’s talk of killing the ringmaster, who ab*ses and exploits the members, and escaping the circus. Sixx agrees with the plan, but conflicts arise at the thought of never seeing Malon again once they leave the city. However, fate ultimately comes knocking for Sixx, regardless of his desires.

Oh wow, 10 /10

If you like a younger top x older bottom, this one is amazing. So satisfying.

And the smut, chefs kiss. They're not playing no jjwxc up in this biznaz.

Story was so well written too. Not a moment that felt like it dragged on.

I feel gaslighted by the reviews. This is a mess.

The world building is so messy nothing makes sense. I can't tell what era the story is set in. The settings/scenes are barely described so you're forced to imagine it on your own.

Sixx is such a complex character and not in a good way. Even as an adult he was so childish it was not a joy to read.

The previous reviews said the age gap is nothing to worry about but it is. I thought sixx only started to feel affection... more>> as an adult but it being when he was a CHILD (not even a teen a literal CHILD) was so uncomfortable I couldn't make it very far into the story. Glad I didn't make it to when they get physical cause I might gag.

I am so glad to have read this, I love Sixx and Malon, they are different and they seem to recognize and accept each other as they are. The age gap isn't really an issue, really, everything that could be a big issue in others works is treated gracefully on this one, including some questionable stuff.

This is made really well, the infodump on italian mafia seems to be a big interest of the author, personally I didn't care as much and it isn't as important to know every last bit... more>> of mafia lore.

The smut is so hot and well written, is totally my cup of tea, Malon being the bottom is totally the right choice, he is usually cold blooded, but seeing him so vulnerable does it for me, I mean, who wouldn't want to be railed by a werewolf? Sixx is so good too, love the almost animalistic yet loving personality.

I am trying to read the end slowly because I am sad to see it go, I liked it a lot. <<less

It was so great.

This novel really deserves more popularity.

The romance is awesome and touching and not that toxic honestly but definitely really hot.

don't worry they met when the MC is 12 but it's only a few days and there is no romance between them, the romance only begins several years later when he's an adult and after years of not seing each other.

As for the fact it's younger top x older bottom, which I usually doesn't like personnally, don't worry about that too bc the ML has so much charisma !! And the MC is so cute so it's just like wonderful.

The fantastic part was beautifully integrated, and unless countless yaoi I've seen, one of the big plus is that there is so much action going on with the ML being part of mafia ! You really won't be sleeping reading this ;)

The characters are all so well developped, even secondary characters

but at the same time it's not like they invade too much the novel and we are really always concentrated on the couple, which I really appreciated.

Another thing I really immensely appreciated is the sweet parts.

After the main end, there are at least 20 chapters of extra who were sooooo great ! The date spot, the wedding and everything was awesome.

Also, for those who worry about the mafia theme, don't worry there is no OW / OM drama going on and it's so great too !

No honestly, just awesome. I definitely recommend it.

It delivers what it promises! A sexy but surprisingly cute and dangerous love story between a cold-blooded mafia boss and an adorable werewolf.

It doesn't bring anything revolutionary to the table nor has unfathomable plot twists, the novel falls into some cliches but the author does them VERY WELL so they're not boring, on the contrary, you can enjoy a romantic story with the age gap, learn to love, opposites attract, dangerous attraction, first love, different worlds, against the odds, grumpXsunshine, and ... more>>

all of them done really nicely.

The novel has a great balance between plot, romance, and smut so you don't get bored at all, it's quick-paced and doesn't drag so I consider it an overall quick and sweet reading. As long as you're fine with some questionable things (you have to check well the tags, summary, AND TRIGGER WARNINGS), I think it's very recommendable within its genre.

My favorite part was the conclusion and the extras, they made it all worth it.

It was a nice surprise how despite the world they live in, they are one of the most loving, romantic, and head-over-heels couples! They don't miss the chance to say how in love they are and call the other spouse/husband. Malon ended up being a total love bird, it was nice to see the evident soft side that he only has for Sixx. I'm also glad Sixx is SOOO loved after all the awful things he went through before.

There are things I'd have liked to see more of but since I was focused on the romantic aspect, I didn't mind it too much.

Suddenly Andy, Corbin, and Leticia stop being important, Sixx previous motivations are almost forgotten, (except for Marlon), and most secondary characters are left undeveloped (mostly the ones of his pre-mafia life, afterward only Patrick is important/constant). Plot-wise it seemed like the first part pointed towards a different direction. Again, I don't care much because since it happens early on, you can adapt quickly to the new direction and the story was still coherent, also it was a direction I liked (the world turning around their lover only, not having eyes nor interest in anyone else) so was more than okay with it.

I'm not sure why this novel has such a low rating, but this novel is definitely worth reading. Please don't let the rating discourage you from taking this up. Seeing two people so whole-heartedly (whole-"souledly, " if you would), devoted to each other just makes me feel so warm. I love the equal passion and possesiveness the couple has for each other. The writer does well in expressing the characters' thoughts as well so we can understand where each of them are coming from (thank you to the translators for... more>> their hard work). The story itself is only about 40-ish chapters and the rest is the afterwards, which is so full of love and sweetness. I loved reading this story and I definitely see myself coming back to reread it from time to time. <<less
