Okay, I wanna say that I just love Wu Zhe. The writing style of the author is quite interesting to me. If you like psychological, introspective books then go for it.

Chapter 1

Well well, sounds interesting! To be fair I just read the first chapter and there are too few things to comment on but basically:

There are 3 schools in the area. The sports school, the med school and the Hang Yun secondary school. The med school has lots of beautiful girls whilst the other 2 have plenty of guys. See where this is getting? The two schools don't see eye-to-eye (obviously). Now, the MC.

The MC called Bian Nan is a guy from the sports school. He's kinda a bad boy... more>> in a way? Anyways we find out he chased this girl for 2 months and suddenly his roomate/friend told him that girl is chasing another guy!!! Boom! Jealousy, anger etc kick in. I mean, how would you feel if the girl you were chasing with all you got didn't even look at you and looked at another guy? And guess what- that guy is our ML!!!!

I mean it's the first chapter so I'm not 100% sure he's the ML but my experienced danmei radar is going off! Anyways the only thing we know of him is that he's called Qiu Yi.

The last scene we saw was a gang member asking our MC Bian Nan for a favor, and that favor is precisely to go beat up Qiu Yi... YIKES. I'm cringing so hard rn but not in a bad way😭😭 I'm just nervous for what's gonna happen lmao-

I will admit tho, I'm not a HUGE fan of these enemies-to-lovers, love rivals-to-lovers etc. because they make me feel too nervous and pained while reading... not to mention when the MC has a female love interest- it's pure chaous lmao but i'll still read this one!

Also the translator seems super good! Even only on the first chapter the translation quality is 🤌

This author, Wu Zhe, is an amazing writer! It's sad that none of her books are getting complete translations. "Saye" is the only one that seems to still getting translated regularly.

Read this last year but only posting a review today.

I really like the vibe of this novel because it somehow gives off a cottagecore vibe and reminds me of times when I'm on my grandparents' house. It is a very comforting read.

It also tackles events in life such as feeling lost because of being unprepared for what's in store tomorrow, handling grief and loss, and discovering new things that will give you hope in the future.

The novel gets quite heavy in the middle yet every time the characters are together,... more>> it is as if you are enveloped in their own little world of warmth. As I go through chapters, I can't help but think that Qiu family's home is a safe space in the novel.

• Papa Qiu is so nice. He wants the best for his sons. He always thinks that Qiu Yi was forced to grow up and work part time jobs to support their family of three so he is thankful for Bian Nan because papa qiu can see qiu yi acting like the teenager he should be with their bond and enjoy his life.
• Erbao. Who doesn't love erbao?? He is so adorable QAQ
• Bian Nan, Qiu Yi, and Erbao hanging out together.
