This story is pretty... simple? There are not really much complicated plot or world-building, which in turn made me a bit unsatisfied even if the author already mentioned that this is a light-hearted novel, no heart-wrenching, emotional and psychological dramas.

Our protagonist is a very carefree girl, and somewhat naive but lucky. Meng Xiaoyu although dont get much action because she were always being protected, only started to show her fighting talent in the Iron Gate Competition.

So yeah, not really because of some complicated reasons nor there is slow romance build-up between the two. Just the powerful ladies affection meter at already at max when they see our little Meng and she likes them too. The harem members, although reluctant, the process of polygamy negotiation goes without much objection because everyone were determined to follow Meng and dont want to see her sad, so they settled with sharing. Han Rubing mostly become the leader when it comes to the household.

You wont see much elaboration to why those women suddenly love Meng, if Meng have any emotinal entanglement to go home, or what the masters understood from Meng Xiaoyu Dugu Nine Sword technique description in the end.

Overall, pretty good for a casual read if you just want to see martial art yuri harem without worrying about complicated emotional drama. <<less
