This is the fourth story I’ve read from the author (the first being Your Husband’s Leg is Broken a few years back which I absolutely adored) and they haven’t missed so far.

I honestly love their style of not referring to the characters by names, it kinda makes it more like I’m reading an anonymous recount.

Such a cute and wholesome story! I feel so empty after finishing it. MC and ML were so devoted, despite the misunderstandings. Lol some misunderstandings were so awkward, but I'm glad they talked it out. The TL was very smooth and amazing, kudos to the TL.

To wrap it up, I'll just say this novel is all cuteness of a pure BL couple sailing in a concise range of a few chapters. At first, with the comedic and silly tone, I thought the story was just about the CP's fluff and... more>> love, but there was tragedy... It came out at a natural pace, but to me, it was unexpected. Xiao Jiu really suffered a lot, even Yan-daren, but I'm so happy that the author wrapped up their endurance with a blissful ending.

I'm not good in put some words, but this short read manages to fill in the angst and fluff. The cuteness, sweetness, misunderstanding and betrayal untangled the lack of twisted plot. Just enough to make your reading time worth of gold.

Fluff read indeed! I finished this in a few hours and it left me feeling all warm. I did cry at that one incident but was glad it didn't drag the whole story. Definitely a light and cute read. I meant to give it 4.0 ♡♡♡♡

A short and sweet story.

It's so cute almost got diabetes from reading it. Though, it is a little sad at the beginning but eventually everything works out. A good read if you are looking from something soft and easy to read. A great book to pass your time with.

Ahhh a short and cute novel that's had just that right amount of angst. Our little MC is a adorbs baby who crushes sooo hard on the emperor's bodyguard (ML). He doesn't really schemes but rather just try to spend a lot of time with ML to hang out. It's so pure... ML side was a little heart breaking and made me tear up so much from that mini heartache and angst. MC's gentle and warm persistence won me (and ML) over. It's a gentle form of chasing after your... more>> love. So so sweet. (The 2 short smut scenes were very gentle as well). Read for a short but sweet, touching gem.

This story could've been developed in a full length novel imo

I expected only some fluff within these 26 chapters, but there was even room for a plot that made sense, even with a slight plot twist nearing the end!

I loved their relationship, it felt so warm and fuzzy, it really didn't take long to get me hooked.

Very enjoyable read that was well-translated: some sadness, some Hotness, Lots of Sweetness. I thought at first it would be all fluff and no palace drama at all (whuuuut?????), because the protagonist's life was described as that of a pampered, loved ninth prince. Eventually I learned the truth that made my heart hurt for Xiao Jiu. I really liked how the author made the plot surprising in this way. And, of course, I really liked the tooth-aching Romance as well.

Its a cute short story. I felt it has everything we need in bl novel - adorable MCs, fluff, heart wrench, smut, drama. Too short but has good enough pace for binge reading. I loved it, definitely would recommend it!

This novel is really heart-warming.

To those who hesitate beacause of the tag of unrequited love, please don't. In my opinion, the ML melt quite fast towards MC. It is just that, he didn't really show it. He shows it in the form of him spoiling the MC and doting on him. (Though who is it that can resist the MC, he is really a precious cinnamon roll^ ^)

The palace drama isn't quite complicated. The ML is quick to chase after MC. The bitter moment will not be felt for... more>> long.

Those looking for little bit fluff, less to no political schemes, a happy go lucky kind of protagonist, just go for it. It brings a kind off refreshing feeling like having a warm cup of coffee in winters. I loved reading it.
