Short and satisfying first person romance. MC slowly tells us what she went through in her first life, how her husband and first love used her to further his and his white moonlight's interests. But this time around, she meets ML early on, and their relationship is really sweet. Heart-wrenching ending that will likely cause a few tears to drop.

Although I usually don't like first-person narratives, this is short and pretty good, so I recommend.

Shi Jiu has sad life and given chance to be regressed. Throughout her life, she's princess but always treated as pawn/experiment. In both lives, she's just wanted to survive. She's pure and innocent that she came across being "block of wood" bc no one taught her emotions especially after how betrayal of Shen Shi Ji who she trusted in 1st life.

I liked Jiang Xiu Bai, he's major green flag. He taught FL how to experience kindness, teaching her emotions, giving her home & name... without price tag or any exchange.

For,... more>> Shen Shi Ji... regret can be too late despite having another chance in life.

There were many regressed characters. My only con is the ending, felt unsatisfied... tbh, should be considered as complex ending lol. Anyway, still rating this high bc just short novel but compact story. <<less

I wish this was expanded to a full novel!!! The MC saves herself and her growth is so admirable. She goes from a "I just want to survive, " mindset to having a warm family and understanding what love truly means ;.; The ML is so mysterious, but there are enough clues for the readers to understand his side even if we don't read from his perspective at any point. I pity the readers who are not familiar with common c-novel tropes and don't realize what's happening in the background... more>> of this short.

I feel like the writing of the story could use some work. There’s not really a romantic feel to any of the chapters except the very end. The man who killed her in her past life just begs her repeatedly to be with him even though he knows she is avoiding him. The climax is confusing where all the main characters show up almost at once and are all dying. The story often just tells you what is happening instead of showing it. This is a very sad story. But also the only one that so far a bit confusing for me. At least the ending background story. I love CT translations, all that iread so far were the best. But this one a bit disappointing. Thank you
