I have no clue why this story is rated so poorly. It is a very short story about a young man telling his woes to a inn keeper. We see how he put himself in the position that would lead to his downfall. He wants someone to listen to him before he loses track of who he once was, because to reincarnate you must erase all the memories of your past life.

I wonder how the general reacted? And narrator jie! Won’t you share more passerby’s story with us?

This story was short and sweet. It was tragic to hear this young man's tale of loss. The writing was poetic.
