It's this gender bender strong female lead trope, but it isn't cringe at all!!!!

I love the FL and the ML. The main story line is good and so are the mini stories (the tasks the FL has to solve).

The FL gets entangled with the emperor ML in order to save her family. She poses as a boy in the meanwhile, and becomes the ML's trusted subordinate. But on one night she dresses up as a woman in order to... more>> do a task secretly, end up injured and unconscious. The ML finds her, doesn't recognise her and fall in love at first sight. But they'll obviously have to go their separate ways.

This story is very mature. From characters to story, they're all really well executed. It all feels very complete. No dogblood bullshit. There's this legend feel to this story that isn't overdone, which I adore. Also the ML isn't an ass the ML isn't an ass the ML isn't an ass!!! The FL isn't cringe the FL isn't cringe the FL isn't cringe!!! The important things need to be said three times. <<less

Thank you sooooo much for picking up this novel. I’ve been following the manhwa and it’s amazing. I have been dying to read the novel in a format other than MTL. You are my hero! To other readers: Brace yourselves for an amazing story!

I love this story so far (in the manhwa) I have read three seasons and I was waiting for the official translation of catch-up on Tapas.
