Ling Meng is a high-ranked casual gamer playing “The Legend of the Galaxy”. Infamous for his poison tongue, he’s known in the forums as Lemon Dad and he carefully cultivates a following of black powder fans over time. The trajectory of his fate completely changes the day he plays a match against the popular god-tier live stream anchor, Mangosteen. A meme created out of his dying words makes him a countrywide laughingstock and he begins to stalk Mangosteen to determine his rival’s weaknesses…to beat him in a match for revenge!

They fight with each other, stream with each other, and even exchange a naked photo with each other.

This is the love story of a lemon and mangosteen.

Overall Rating: 5 -If you're looking for a simple, cute and entertaining read, you should prolly pick this one up. There's no major conflict and angst. Nevertheless, it was still a fun and short read. If you're looking for light-hearted sort of thing, this one's for you.

The story is full of fluff and so meng! There is not much plot into it but it certainly is a very fun read. In this story we see the process of them dating and falling in love which is a gradual day-to-day thing.

I finished this in two hours, it got recommend to me as a good e-sport novel so I read it. Definitely worth reading for those who like fluff. I love MC and ML interactions, also their fans and side characters. I also love how the players' ID names were based on Fruit, Vegetable, Flavoring, etc. The characterization is interesting, and there is no over the top tropiness of the ML (like being very controlling and possessive). Of course there is some vinegar, but it's never too much - just enough to give you butterflies. <<less

I really liked this one! Light and fluffy read, good if you want no angst, it's very funny and the characters were super cute. The MC and ML have good personalities and there was no unnecessary drama.

Worth reading but don't expect anything deep, it had a good plot and the pacing was okay. Enjoyable but don't expect it to be the best.

Short, sweet and enjoyable. The pacing is quite fast but I enjoyed it alot, it felt like a brisk walk and not a slow drag. Not just that, but there's alot of chapters so while it's easy go read and digest, you also get to eat alot at the buffet!

Other than that, it's quite fun. If you're hoping for something that drives deep into gaming you might want to try others. But I quite like how breezy this one is - it's like being in the peripherals of the esports... more>> circle but not deep into the nitty gritty.

It's interesting that the CPs are livestreamers who are just having fun, but their circles have esports pro players in them. I quite like this relaxed distance after reading so many intense esports novel.

The MC is ordinary, I don't really see the appeal but I neither like or don't like him. Still, it's an enjoyable read if you need a break! <<less

First of all, thanks to the translation team for their efforts.

Ah, plot wise, it was actually plain imo but I love the ML's personality. I mean, it's not the usual possessive or cold-hearted gong we have. Rather, he's kind even when he was first introduced in the story. Hmmm, it's my fault for not reading the synopsis really well but I thought this would focus more on games, didn't expect it'll focus into being a game/entertainment anchor (i think this is close to being a vlogger, right?) later on. This... more>> was still a pleasant read, less drama. Just that, I always have this tendency of being uninterested when two characters already established their relationship so after they dated I just skimmed the chapters and didn't really enjoy the rest of it.

But, I'm glad that in the end of the story they already have both of their parents' consent. Also, they found their career path and their future will probably become stronger.

PS: Still want to have a spin off of Xiang Jiao (Banana) and Shan Yao (Mang God's second cousin) story. Ngl, their chemistry is undeniably strong. <<less

I didn't read this before because I couldn't understand the gaming terms. Though now, I'm glad I gave it a try. This is the first e-sports novel I read and thankfully a good one at that. I love MC and ML interactions, also their fans and side characters. I also love how the players' ID names were based on Fruit, Vegetable, Flavoring, etc.

No drama at all. Just full of fluff, comedy, and meng courtesy of our MC. I almost abandon this yesterday because of the smut warning because I'm really... more>> not a fan of that. I'm okay with BL but my heart is still weak. Fortunately, I didn't. The smut is not explicit and the author used euphemism.

It was a really fun and light-hearted read! Perfect read in between your angsty or plot heavy novels. Both protagonists are sweet, and I absolutely adored our dear Lemon daddy ^_^ There is no dogblood melodrama, no unwanted villains, just pure fluff. Enjoy this with a cup of warm tea/coffee or something sweet, because it makes you crave something sweet, hehe

I'm attached. I'm so attached. Why'd it have to enddddddddddd. 5/5 YOU NEED TO READ IT RIGHT NOW. I saw someone recommend it, decided to read it cause why not, AND BOOM. Now I'm attached. This is the good stuff right here, I want to give it a hundred more stars that's just how good it is and I don't even review that much! ≪3 This made me feel all warm and giddy and happy and pumped and I was rooting for the other characters too. They're both gaymers and... more>> MC doesn't have the otaku body that you would think he has. ML is cheeky and the "my face stiff but my heart warm" type (I don't know how to describe but you'll like him). The fruit nicknames are, DAMn why didn't I think of that. This is one of the few books that make me want to read more about the other characters because for one, they aren't that cannon fodder-ish.

You're missing out a lot if you still haven't given it a read. The copious amounts of pda and character interactions make me smile. I've also learned a lot of internet terms and there's also a sticker set in there somewhere of our very cool MC <3 <<less

i gotta say, this has a very very VeRy Light Plot. No ab*se whatsoever to the readers except for your jaws as u keep on smillin till yur teeth falls out... Smooth journey to romance I think?

And I gotta add, cuz I swear, even the commentaries of the audiences in every broadcasts made me laugh 😆. Sure some are cliche and all, but it made me read through every one of them so as not to miss out. Although most of the lines in this novel came from the comments, still gotta read it cuz it’s just so fun and keeps on hooking me. Ahh I know, comments on every broadcasts did not make me feel like they’re there just to fill up the Novel. I can really sense their persona in this novel. Like additional Characters which made me read and not skip any of it. I recommend reading them all 🥰

This was so cute and enjoyable! I became a fan of Lemon Daddy! 😂😂 And Lemon's roommate deserves an award for most entertaining roommate! 😂😂 The romance was very fluffy with zero angst. It was very smooth going. The ML was slightly cunning/manipulative but not in a very negative way. He just made the MC slowly depend on him and get used to his presence. He can also be jealous but it never went overboard.

The side characters seemed quite good too. I wish there was nore character development, but it wasn't... more>> too bad considering the short length of the novel.

Overall 5 stars for giving a very fresh, enjoyable and happy experience. 😊😊 <<less

Ahhhh!!! This story is so greaaattt!!!! Like really! The story is full of fluff and so meng! Meng here, meng there, meng everywhere! ✧◝ (⁰▿⁰) ◜✧ The main CP is so cute, hilarious, adorable, and sweet. The side characters are also great, they are not annoying. The whole story is so ahhhh! There is not much plot into it but it certainly is a very fun read, every bits it of it is so mhmmm, I really recommend this to everyone 💖

A very cute and fluffy read. No angst, so a light and sweet read. Also, quite a short read. Not a bad thing but if you're looking for something that'll last you for days of binging this isn't it.

MC is hilarious whereas ML is standard devoted/doting type (which I like). If you like relationships that develop from online gaming, then read this!

or a 5: not a favorite, probably would not reread

The CP Lemon Daddy and Mangosteen and their interactions are just sooo cute and full of dog food ahhhhh. It's a short and sweet novel, which is a super sad thing cuz I want more, even tho the ending of the novel was very beautiful and satisfying. Rooting for Mengmeng and Mangosteen's dreams and eternal dog food!!!!

Hmmm, I'm off to read it again, so yeah, this is definitely something that you should read again and again.

I hesitated to read it at first but since each chapter is short so I give it a try and I am totally in love with it.

it's kind of fluffly slice of life (?) with no angst. If you like comedy fluff then this is for you. I'm grinning nonstop reading this.

Lemon is just too cute and MangGod is really down to earth. :) They exposed each other, bickering on and on til they get together (took them long enough but since everyone ship them together from the start and MangGod also chase him and claim his territory pretty quick I didn't feel like it's dragged)

I just found this germ! Honestly, I feel a bit reluctant to reed this, as other commenter said, it only have 30 chapters! QAQ I can't! T_T

But it so fun, I think I might come back again for collecting more Meng!!!!! I really love this novel, short but full with fluff and not complicated. The author really make a good job by creating a good characters in this novel. Not only they had a good development but also have a good set up identity.

Worth of my time, like I said,... more>> I just encounter this novel and just finished it, but feel reluctant to part with it QwQ I wish there are more!! T_t

No angst, pure fluff. Lots of play on fruit themed words😂 Romance between MC and ML also comes with little tension. Their interaction before and after confirming their feelings is so sweet I squeeeel-
