Ling Meng is a high-ranked casual gamer playing “The Legend of the Galaxy”. Infamous for his poison tongue, he’s known in the forums as Lemon Dad and he carefully cultivates a following of black powder fans over time. The trajectory of his fate completely changes the day he plays a match against the popular god-tier live stream anchor, Mangosteen. A meme created out of his dying words makes him a countrywide laughingstock and he begins to stalk Mangosteen to determine his rival’s weaknesses…to beat him in a match for revenge!

They fight with each other, stream with each other, and even exchange a naked photo with each other.

This is the love story of a lemon and mangosteen.

This is the sweetest story. I laughed and awwwed and I can't get enough of this couple. So sad it's over, I could read about them forever.

Loooooved this. Short, sweet and funny as hell. Really pleasant mix of sugary BL goodness and a fluffy gaming subplot; definitely worth your time.

It's very entertaining xD.

I'd definitely recommend this if you're looking for sth sweet and funny of medium length. All the puns XD

You can also read this if you're a BL beginner, it's quite tame. It has a yaoi tag but there's just one scene with action in it and yeah, without spoilering much, it's not all the way and worded in a quite funny and kind of confusing way. I was like "lololol" throughout the entire thing :'DDD

Ohh, it's the same author as Antelope and Night Wolf. Pale Soul OL is even mentioned in passing. This is more into live streams and god players. More on game commentators than the players being in the pro league.

I imagine the game is something like Starcraft?

Continuing on, the shou is ADORABLE AS HECK. You just want to pinch him. Trying to be shameless but end up being meng. The ML loves to tease and dote. Their dynamics is so fluffy, you'll get drunk from their sweet antics.

i have to go write an essay that I put off for reading this, so ill edit my review later, but I just wanted to say that the authors balance of gameplay and irl and streaming is really amazing!! The perfect harmony achieved!! Even though I know absolutely nothing about starcraft save that its a big brain and high handspeed game I could still follow along with the authors explanation of the gameplay.

The summary on the NU page doesn't really tell you anything much other than the MC cursing? Heck I actually don't know what the phrase mean. Since there really isn't any reviews here I'll give mine.

The very few chapters are very short which I can see why the translator posted one page with 4 chapters.

The MC is playing a game which I think is a tactic game involving battleships in space with their own base, armies, etc. He has a reputation for having a poisonous mouth but a lot... more>> of players seemed really liking it he became well know.

Now like I said I don't understand the chinese phrase so I don't get the joke. But without knowing it I actually still find it hilarious because of the aftermath. The MC uttered the phrased "You boys play games very well" towards the ML while he livestreams was the moment where the MC and ML sorta bonded in not a good way for the MC haha.

Afterwards it gets better the humor of the MC demise and the ML amusement of MC's foolishness is really funny.

I haven't read the RAWs yet but just a few chapters I am sold. I recommend to give this story a try. <<less

The novel's so cute!!!! But I think the translation needs more editing? Some parts don't make sense to me. It's very clearly MTL-ed. : (Hopefully it gets a good translator that can do it justice!

I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did. Maybe this is my sign to start reading more esports/live-streaming novels. This truly had barely any plot and copious amounts of fluff, but I still enjoyed reading it. The live streaming scenes were so ridiculously funny and cute. I recommend this to anybody who wants to read something light and not too serious. The only reason I didn't rate this a 4 star was because of the odd, casual remark about Indians (which was quite unnecessary). But overall,... more>> this was a nice, light-hearted read. I read a review that said this is fun to "read once and never again" and I wholeheartedly agree though lol <<less

I think I got diabetes reading this...

this was so freaking wholesome and cute I even teared up after realizing I finished it. Its such a perfect mix of irl and in game which I found lacking in waiting for you online in the second part of it. I loved every moment of it and there was never a moment where my smile was off my face.

highly recommend if you want to read some fluff.

Aaaah, a couple that don't mind PDA <333. Everything was interesting from start to finish. From the way games were described to the way the couple interacted with the fans through the barrage. The selling point of this story was comedy, so the MC's character is very entertaining (even his friends〜 (￣ω￣〜) ♪ (〜￣△￣) 〜). I can actually picture myself following MC's socials irl.

The only downside (which is a little) is the comedy translation. It's not really funny when you translate Chinese comedy it directly (instead of using an English... more>> equivalent), and the translator explaining the terms at the end the chapters make you go 'ah, so that's how it is.' But thanks for translating anyway. <<less

A really fun read. No plot, just pure fluff and comedy. My face aches from smiling so much.

The story focuses on the interaction between MC and ml, not much gaming content, but great for a mindless comedy romance with a gaming/streaming theme.

My biggest complaint would be how quickly they confirmed their relationship after the ML confesses, purely because the MC considered himself straight and there wasn't really any indication of him questioning his sexuality or feelings for the ml.

However, I still give this a 5 star rating purely because I... more>> have no teeth left from all the sweetness. <<less

This is REALLY FUN!!!

Our main characters are both online players and streamers.

Mango is popular because his sexy voice (he doesn't show his face) and his high rank on the game while Lemon is popular because his dirty talk and funny expressions.

So one day the game put them together and that is the start of a feud that ends in love!

Super good COMEDY! Totally Recommended!

Really cute novel. There's barely any drama, just a very smooth-sailing fluff from the beginning to the end. The story is extremely fast-paced too, which makes this an all-around enjoyable read.

The reason I rated it quite low is because some parts of the texts was rather incoherent. The text were rather difficult to comprehend. It could also because of some internet terminology that got lost in translation. Some context also required some basic understanding of Mandarin to understand. Fortunately, this is not a major problem as you can just skim... more>> over parts that you don't really get and still be able to follow the plot. At most, you'd just miss some really good jokes. <<less
