Ye Zhou, after graduating from university, worked as a small supervisor. Rarely doing a good deed, he ended up encountering a car accident. When he woke up, he found himself back in the rural countryside of the 1990s, surrounded by mud walls and a house full of extraordinary relatives. This was the prelude to a disaster, and Ye Zhou couldn’t help but burst into tears. Who did he offend?

Pan Xiangdong, a dignitary in the prince’s circle of the capital, the captain of the Special Forces’ Sharp Blade Unit, the youngest lieutenant colonel in the history of the country, temporarily left army due to a mission failure, but encountered the troublesome Ye Zhou when visiting his grandfather. Since then, he has embarked on a journey of spoiling his wife, going further and further.

“By the way, you still owe me 200 bucks…”

On a certain day of a certain month of a certain year, Ye Zhou held a pot of orchids and looked helplessly at the red-faced old man in front of him.

“What 200 bucks? Get lost… Xiangdong, see the guest out!”

A certain old bandit snatched the potted plant, holding the beloved orchid with delight, and turned around while the standing Pan Xiangdong pretended to be serious, saying, “Please.”

“Please my ass! The whole damn family of yours are bandits, aren’t you?”

Ye Zhou, who not only failed to get the money but also lost a precious pot of orchids, vented his frustration on Pan Xiangdong. Damn it, he must have been cursed for eight generations to end up living next to this pair of bandit father and son.

Dare I say, Ye Jia Fu is a den of gays. Lol. - Slight spoiler ahead..

At one point of the story (first third part of the story) I know it will have cubs plot, but dang, there's a lot of cubs involved. One is even naughtier than the other. Me likey.

But, truly, my own personal opinion, why is when the protags got bent, suddenly everyone's bent too?! Altho at the very least, there's some BG couple, and some of the BL couples did exist before MC jumped in, or bcoz... more>> one experienced the cruelty of the world (Daxiong).

Anyway, I dare to say, this one is a fav after reading so many simple no brainer novel. This one does have essence. But it does have some nonsensical plot, esp the natural delivery. Hah! I mean you have yinguo but why is it not working when it comes to the delivery part, idk either..

The villager-family drama is new, when one isn't patriarchal at all, and actually dotes on the daughters is very rare, esp in a farmer family. The politic-business war isn't detailed but def not boring. In short, it fits my alley.

I would say tho, it still predictable for me. There's no obvious plot twist, except for falcon's targeting, which I wonder if it's to offset what YZ had done. <<less

So old-fashioned!!!

The novel happens in the 90's of rural China and that's a really good match to the author's mindset.

Be it education, women's place or supposed personalities, moral views,... it's quite icky, for me at least.

So this is what they call a dog blood novel. Family villains who for some reason don't want their relatives to have a good life constantly come to MC so he can face slap them, threaten them, beat them or all of these. ML is there to ab*se his authority and call someone to arrest... more>> the broken boned and bloodied villains moaning in pain. This aspect is quite weird for someone like me. ML and his friends are all more rich and powerful than each other and talk quite freely about all the ab*se of power they can do because of their statut, like it's a right.

The relationships are quite icky too. For now (I've stopped at chapter 116), the two main couples are a 17 yo (smooth and fair skin if blood thirsty = the wife) with a rich and powerful 26 yo soldier (the husband) and a 14 yo (smooth and fair skin and who does "woman's work" and so "is more suitable to be a wife") aka white rabbit with ML's friend 26 yo rich and powerful. Of course the "men" don't care that the wifes are underaged and as the author is quite old-fashioned, they're very pushy and domineering.

Another thing I dislike is the use of r*pe in dealing with people (either from the villains or MC/ML sides). Anyway, it's the girl fault, she's drown in rumors and gain a bad reputation, the rapist is given a wife (the victim) for his hard work. I'm all for blood thirsty MCs but... Anyway, in this novel, women are shrews, weak, soft-hearted, bullies,... and ruin the poor (but good) men who married them.

I was quite intrigued about the plot and the "plant aspect" of the novel but not enough to finish it.

Read this only if you like face slapping and husbands entering the wife s*ave club <<less

I've read up to c64 and I can see why it has so many low votes.

The author makes the MC a bit (possibly a lot) s*upid.

Most of the novel so far is about the ML flirting with the MC right away.... more>>

The 'Magical Space' tag is accurate, but don't expect it to matter after the beginning because it's like the author ignores it in favor of flirting/s*x talk. It isn't even mentioned usually.

He goes in, says it's got a pond, a black field, a red field, a gold field and some mountain. Then aside from saying he mixed some soil from the black field and put the water from the pond in the drinking water tank he hasn't really talked about it in dozens of chapters (as of c64)

If you are looking for just a lot of flirting where you just turn off your brain, then maybe you can try it.

I won't rate it because it's not my type of novel. I prefer more serious/intellectual MCs. <<less

This has the typical story of MC being reborn with a magical space, face slapping his relatives, and becoming rich through farming, but this is also a yaoi world where once MC comes out gay, everyone around him also becomes gay. This novel contains older lover parings, in*est pairing, pg-13 pe*ophilia pairing, and a younger gong pairing.

MC's younger cousin whom he adopted was 14 when ML's friend, 26, fell for him. This was a little icky for me when the ML's friend was all up against MC's younger cousin feeling him up, kissing, and all that. Of course there was no interc**rse until MC's cousin was an adult but still, ICK!

This novel took me longer than usual to finish because I felt like the novel was drawn into other dramas that I really had no interest in, so I've been procrastinating, even just scanning through the last few chapters just to get it over with. Reading on, you get to see how protective MC is of his family, even to the point of

fabricating DNA tests to make one of his greedy aunt agree to divorce his uncle then telling police officers to overlook that detail, knifing a child in the thigh so the kid's parents would confess to what they've done to MC baby brother, and cutting off the ears, hamstrings, and vocal chords of his evil biological younger sister because she instigated the kidnapping, then telling the police to lie and say she was killed in action whereas MC actually had her thrown into a brothel. Excruciating circumstances I understand, but I find hypocritical. Plus no one seemed to care that the kind and gentle MC suddenly became dark and blood thirsty. Everyone just shook it off.

The story is fantastical, not the magic kind, but in that MC and ML can get away with abusing their societal and familial powers when needed but it seems all but absent when the plot wants it. Though I did enjoy and wished it had been put more into play
