Not the most exciting story, but it's sweet and funny. The characters are endearing and it's nice to read about a relationship that just develops naturally without much drama. The CP have a quirky dynamic due to the age difference and the ML being the MC's university professor, but it's cute. Nice read.

I would challenge someone to find any fault with this novel... It was that good! A breath of fresh of air from reading those meaningless novels. You can only gain something reading this.

I felt unsure about the story in the beginning as I felt it had no plot, but nonetheless it is not inferior in any way to those novels that have a fix plot.

Seriously, you have to read this.

Wow, what a ride!

I am truly and extremely grateful that I stumbled upon this wonderful gem. This is just my 3rd novel since I am kind of a novice in reading these kinds of novels (just started this type of hobby few weeks ago hehehe) but the experience left a memorable and deep impression to me of having a meaningful relationship overcoming obstacles like age, gender, orientations in life, etc.. of course, the characters also faced those dilemmas but the way they handled are very relatable.

Needless to say, I just... more>> simply adore the relationship between Ting Shuang and Bai Changyi! Honestly, their interactions are just so engaging. There's also a huge amount of good laughs, a bunch of embarrassing moments that will make you chuckle and countless of sweet moments that will make you grin from ear to ear.

On another note, I know there are some few distaste towards Ting Shuang's immature side (and much more when he suddenly acted so mature in the last few chapters!) but I guess I'm just okay with it since if I have a boyfriend like Bai Changyi, I would also act spoiled (all the time hahahaha). Anyway, must be a matter of preference but I never found Ting Shuang's character to be annoying at all. He's flirty, yes. Stubborn, wild, lazy, unorganized... in short, the total opposite of our mature, calm, collected and "SUPERMAN" Bai Changyi. But their personalities just mesh up so well despite the differences. They complement each other so well that I just enjoy their dynamics.

This novel is highly recommendable for everyone! Truthfully, I was hesitant to read this at first because of the 90sh chapters since I personally don't like reading long chapters for I can easily get bored. But fortunately, there's never a dull chapter in the entirety of the novel. And I even end up finishing it in a matter of few days which is so unlike me. So yeah, please do give this novel a try. And I bet that you will also feel like raising your standards to look for a man like Bai Changyi in real life hahahahaha. <<less

Fluff beyond fluff... when you don’t feel like thinking much and just filling your head with fluff, this novel is what you need. Someone said the ML is too perfect.... might be but not on the annoying side.

Felt a need to write a review on this one because of how amazing this is. Honestly one of the best books I've read so far.

I loved how they were honestly so different like in terms of character and especially age but they made their relationship work. The understanding, maturity and especially the character growth is what hit me the most because I was portrayed really well and I can really feel it. I'm not really good with words so I'll just say: GO FKN READ IT RIGHT NOW

Finally a novel about growth, muturity and communication between MC & ML, and the best of it there's no angst, no misunderstandings, just a fluffy relaxing feel-good story about a lovey-dovey couple and the way they influence each other and grow together. I really recommend it to anyone who wants a simple, angst free and sweet story👍🏻.

I gave it 10/10 ⭐.

The translation is amazing. Thanks for the good work.

Not a bad story. After catching up to the translated chapter (chapter 70) at the time, I decided to sit and wait until the rest finish. I ended up forgetting and just came back to it. I found myself not as interested. The story did not carry through for me anymore. However, it does show some cute situations. It'd be a fun read for some.

The story was light-hearted and fun to read. The conflicts are what you would usually encounter because of the nature of their relationship. I think what actually left me an impression is how ideal the ML is and how independent the MC is.

They were both mature even though the MC was portrayed as a child in the first half of the story because of the age gap and his behavior of throwing tantrums. But in the latter part of the story, the MC's cleverness and independence were shown fully. He... more>> wasn't someone to be bullied and wait for the ML to fix his problem, rather he was someone who asks for help if needed but like to solve his problem all on his own especially if he knows he can do it. Moreover, he was someone that although likes to make a fuss, was also one to realize where or who the problem relies upon. It might show that he was just pushing all the blame to ML sometimes, but on his inner monologues, it was shown he had realized his own mistakes but was just too embarrassed to admit it out loud leading him to feel frustrated and making questionable and childish actions/fuss.

Some stories portray the MC as someone who always got their way and the ML will tolerate or accommodate it, but here the MC can't have his way and is often reminded by the ML to voice his problem out instead of being petty. I think it was kind of refreshing because the MC ended up growing out of this behavior. I also think their relationship became more balanced because the MC learned how to communicate his problems properly and calmly not only with the ML but also with his relative. The growth was there for both of them and the healthy communication and relationship shows how they fit each other perfectly. Anyways, the ML is so ideal to the point I want one for me (can I ask for a robot version of him in real life lol). He was so considerate, so mature, so accommodating, so ideal, so perfect. Did I say the ML is perfect? The ML is perfect. My ideal type for a partner keeps growing and the ML in this story just lifted it up higher than a mountain I don't know if someone will be able to meet it in the future :>. Anyways, the ML is perfect, so is the story and the MC. Definitely worth the read and the high ratings

A rare and realistic find. The MC has his fair share of shortcomings (yes, there were moments where I genuinely found him embarrassing), but shows exemplary yet not unrealistic character growth throughout the whole novel. The story touches on several serious issues and areas for deeper discussion. The translation is well-done, the dialogue can be fun or insightful, the characters are alive and 3-dimensional, the relationship is healthy and supportive, and there is not the glaring imbalanced power dynamic that's usually present in novels with a large age gap. It was a good, fun, embarrassing, deep, and serious, read lol.

There were some serious issues tackled, I especially liked how Bai Changyi's father tackled the problem with his reaction about his son being gay (going to a psychiatrist to see what was wrong with him and not what was wrong with his chiled), they also talked about Bai Chanyi's ideals, and Ting Shuang also got so deep in his words (I was actually a bit taken aback with Ting's speeches, it feels out of his character but as it happened more often, prbably because he solved his bad temper, I got to realize that a person could grow like that, it was really satisfying, but still feels a bit off hahaha). I love them both, but I honestly don't think there's a Bai Changyi there somewhere, fr. I wish I had more time to see how Chanyi was before Ting happened but it's just a short novel so sad. This was a good read and there are sooo many embarassing things that happened to Ting lol.

Rating: 5/5- Hands down one of the healthiest relationships I’ve ever read!

I fell in love with the characters- especially the ML. The older, patient, respectful man of everyone’s dreams honestly!

This book explored a lot of interesting topics that may appear boring at first but in hindsight are quite thought provoking and valuable. The author really put her soul into this story and it’s one of my favourites!

It was absolutely wonderful with enough comedy and romance and ordinary life problems as well. Beautiful!

Best Novel I have read in a looong while. I've been an avid fan of BL novels for quite a few years and noticed my interest declining recently as I don't particularly enjoy it anymore. However, this one even made me leave review just because of how good it is.

Good:

    • Relationship dynamic - most BL couple almost always follow a hierarchy, one in command and the other, an obedient follower. In this case, both yield and compromise with each other, exactly how a healthy relationship should be.
    • Progress of the story and of their relationship - you'd think that because the story started with an issue regarding an "ex", the entire story would revolve around that but no. The ex was resolved early and succeeding plot were just all about their growth as a couple and as a person.
    • Just everything about the ML.
Meh/Bad:

    • The company arc is a bit off for me. Some points were not covered properly and was skimmed despite it seemingly important. They shouldve skipped it lol

This novel's so good and realistic that I ended up hating it. It talks about a lot of deep aspects like love, aging, marriage, studies, decision-making, living, and death. This novel's lovely and sweet but at the same time, it will make you face reality. And this, as a reader of fiction, is what I'm somewhat afraid of.

If you want to roll on the floor laughing, this is it!

The story itself is pretty hilarious and entertaining to read. The writing is not something I personally prefer, and the characters apart from the leads weren't very well written, in my opinion. But it was a short and humorous story and served its purpose.

This is a very good written novel. The comedy and the romance is very good. A very healthy relationship between the heartbroken MC who urged by his half brother to find a new partner ASAP after his ex cheated on him. His half bro install the dating app, and matched him with an older professor who is mature and later on pamper him beyond words.

The ML is too good to be true? Not really, I know some people who will pamper their partner like ML did, but I have to... more>> admit, this is really makes all single squad out there envy to the max.

It was no wonder ML pamper MC, after all, their age differences is 12 year, and MC pour all his heart and pamper ML back.

The novel describe the struggle of how hard it was being gay in front of your family, the importance of studying and trying hard to earn your place in society, as well as complexity of family relationship. No much drama nor misunderstanding between MC and ML, which makes me love this story so much. <<less

Plot wise, it's nothing special, so it should be average rating, but I put more due to how much I love Bai Changyi.

I love how calm he is, how mature, how warm, how gentle and understanding, plus intellectual and sexy, can cooks, well spoken, solve the problem with actual communication, and overall he's such a keeper.

OLDER ML IS THE BEST!

... more>> I like the couple interaction and dynamics and how the author doesn't make it wishy washy: they got mutually attracted, got together, and working out on their relationship.

I also love the philosophical dialogue of this story, it makes me reflect on myself.

The most mature seme you'd ever find coupled with amazing character growth of both the ML and the MC!!!

I loved that ML is very calm and mature and MC adapting his personality being mature too everytime they spend their time together and not that typical student-teacher genre.
