Translation: 6/10, decent quality.

Shou wife mistakenly believes Broken leg gong is leaving him for his previous crush. Turns out that's not the case at all - husband actually had a surprise proposal in the works! I mostly liked this story but there some elements I didn't enjoy. For example, Shou wife is such a stereotypical "traditional wife" who does all the cooking & cleaning despite both of them having jobs. Hey husband, your leg wasn't broken for the 3 years you guys were together so it wouldn't hurt to help out with chores even if you're a sh*t cook lol! Even when Broken leg gong recalls the moment he fell in love with Shou wife, the major difference between his affection for Shou wife & former crush Bai Yueguang was that Shou wife was obedient & shy, and bakes & cooks well. Like yes, I do believe Broken leg gong does love Shou wife, but would be nice if he expressed it differently. Anyway, that was just a bit of an annoyance but I still thought it was a fun read. Plus, there are a couple of nice smut scenes sprinkled in!

but then turned to misunderstanding because the Gong is not truthful and kept on lying.

they were in a relationship this time. His white moonlight visited the Gong, they were happy and holding eachothers hands, the shou saw and left, later he asked if anyone visited, which the Gong lied (this caused the misunderstanding since apparently the Gong had move on and like his shou)

This lie happened again, when he lied about how he got Injured and who he was eating out with

Also I wished that the shou did something unexpected but he was so in love with the Gong. He couldn't think of loving anyone else 🙃 <<less

Loved this story.

Sweet and fluffy with a ton of cliches. I laughed when the ML "walked out" from the dark alley of his "white moonlight". The description gave me the shudders. Lol

A very cute shou and a spoiled gong. Loved the ML's mother.

It's a bit early to actually rate it since there are only seven chapters released yet and I don't have complete understanding of it yet, but that doesn't mean it's not good. I've rated it anyway.

It's really a short story and I have yet to come across anything excessively cute or funny as of chapter seven. Till now, the story tells us about how the main characters became a couple. I'm not going to lie, it's a bit angsty but not too much. Just enough for you to feel a... more>> bit apprehensive. I consider that to be a good quality. There is their routine after they started dating and it can be considered nice and cute. I'm waiting for the comedy and cuteness to show (based on the tags). Don't let this stop you because I believe it to be a ride worth the effort and wait. I don't like angst when it's too much and this story seems to have just enough of it.

The description itself says "dog blog blood, a substitute, and a white moonlight". You bet it has them all. The shou is the substitute of the gong's white moonlight aka first love. Can't wait for it to proceed. Maybe it's like some sourness at the beginning and then sweetness? I'll wait for it! Again, it's worth the read!

Also, the cover itself is hilarious; a hairy leg wiggling. Wow. <<less

The dogblood part is mostly on the first half and then you realize it’s the old miscommunication trope and the characters get even more lovey dovey. There is also a hidden black bellied in the story but you only notice it in the end.

The novel is full of fluff. No angst. There are 2 main characters - Broken-leg Gong & Shou-wife. And, 2 side characters - White Moonlight & Doctor. The full names of the two MCs is only mentioned at the end. It's not so dog-blood as written in summary.

In my reasoning, I suspect that the real white Moonlight should be Shou-wife as Broken-leg Gong was only attracted to White Moinlight due to his face. Ah.... but this type of pit author never filled...

It's a good short read. There are two instances... more>> of copulation. Overall, the storyline is smooth and fluffy. Worth a read!! <<less

Went in not knowing much other than "A short story of misunderstanding, angst and unrequited love.".

Another simple, short, and brainless read. Contains the elements mentioned but just very light angst. Suitable for those who want a short fluffy brainless read. Nothing special about this story.

Cute and funny. It's fluff, fluff and fluff shove in your face. The dog-blood drama mentioned in the synopsis was not really heavy. Although it was short I still find it satisfying.

Ah! I feel so happy after reading this short, sweet and wholesome novel. It's so cute and fluffy! ? The MC & ML are both very good. Even though the summary mentions a white moonlight (unrequited love), there's no actual love triangle here, just a little misunderstanding. The protagonists are very sincere toward each other. There's even a side pairing, which seemed quite interesting. To be honest though, before reading the gong's perspective, I did want him to suffer from a little heartache. The ML's not bad at all,... more>> I was just expecting him to be like other MLs who stay obsessed with their unrequited loves? But he wasn't. Overall: a VERY GOOD READ! <<less

Not sure how I feel about it. Not sure I could say it was decent/mediocre or not.

Some thoughts as I was reading:

    • Will they really keep shou-wife and broken leg gong as the names for the characters until the end? Yes, the author did, even though at the end their real names show up, so... why...
    • Am I supposed to like ML? He has not really done anything for MC. He is basically a man child that can't handle 1 thing in his life without MC's help. ML does not even deserve a 2 out of 10 score overall.
    • Why did MC even fall for ML? Just because ML was sunny and handsome? Can't imagine chasing after a man for years just because of this.
    • Why did ML even like his childhood friend? Why is everyone so shallow that a handsome face is all it's needed for YEARS of chasing and admiration and heartbreak?
    • Why did ML like MC? Because his explanation s**ked ass. You are telling me you like him because he met all your "wife" standards (cooking, cleaning, being soft, not very manly, etc.) ? Ew.
    • The doctor butting in I didn't mind much, but going after a taken man is cringe and not acceptable. The way ML tried to make him back off was also super childish and dumb, I guess on par with his own IQ. But the way the doctor decided to send those highschool pictures and insinuate a non-consensual kiss was even worse.
    • The doctor getting his own story/lovs is great! The way it was written? No.

Pleasant read!

Premise: MC has been in love with ML since college. They are not good friends, but ML was the male god that MC admired from far. After college MC were collegues with ML for short period. It takes some time before ML is ready to accept MC.

... more>> We follow their story after they are already together and there are flashbacks how they got together.

It was a light read, no angst imo. Very short chapters. MC is a sweetie, very kind and diligent. The best wife type. ML is a respectful, smart, but jealous and somewhat petty gong. <<less

NU short story summary is very misleading but it turned out to be a nice read. Definitely not as heavy as the summary of 'A short story of misunderstanding, angst and unrequited love' implies. It's more of a fluffy story with light angst and minor misunderstandings that are resolved early on. ' (Light) angst' only lasts around 15 or so chapters. The main couple is adorable and every interaction is so cute. The ML is 'shameless' but loves his shou very much, it's cute how he acts around him and... more>> his jealousy is aww-worthy - no need to worry about possessive/toxic elements here. Everyone has a happy ending here which is really nice. <<less

Oh, these two are such darlings. This one starts off in the present and flashbacks show the history of their romance as well as their heartaches. For a short story, it's fairly emotional and involved.

The shou is a total sweetheart and the gong is funny, albeit somewhat childish.

My god, the tiff he got in with the love rival/doctor was hilariously petty. When they got engaged, he took a picture of their rings and drew a useless red circle around it, hahaha!

Cute story. The intro summarizes the bulk of it. The misunderstanding between a couple in love.

The shou thinks the gong is still in love with his white moonlight. Although the gong was in love with the WM at the beginning of their relationship, he wasn't scummy. The gong had warned the shou about his feelings for WM but the shou still asked the gong to go out with him. The gong isn't at fault and he did eventually love and cherish the shou.

The gong gives his salary to the shou to manage. So when he wanted to surprise the shou with an engagement ring, the gong had no money to buy one. So he borrowed money from the WM and asked him to bring back the ring from overseas. The gong got into the accident and broke his leg when he was meeting up with the WM to pick up the ring.

5 stars, directly put in favourite books list.

I read it while it was being translated and everytime a new update popped up I was super happy.

It's such a good short story that has everything: a bit of unrequited love (then becoming super requited!) a bit of angst, a bit of family problems (broken leg gong really shined there good job man!!!), a lot of jealousy from both parts, a LOT of fluff and love and good feelings. And the doctor and little doctor as the cherry on top!

This was awesome... Short, cute, forward, sweet, everything... the first half was MC's pov and the other of ML's, which formed a beautiful balance of what had to be said to satisfy the readers... without any messy details, any unrealistic drama, just perfect for a danmei afternoon break...

Really more like 3.5, it's a bite sized junk food kind of a stoy. Cute with some substance, but not much.

The names threw me off at first (Shou Wife and Broken Leg Gong 🤣), but were cute when I got used to them.

MC was a little weak for my taste but not bad for a short story. ML was a normal ML. I liked that they were both already out to their families. I was confused with the MC's younger brother, he was good then bad all at the same time.

Translation was great, might read again in a few years, if I come across it again. Enjoyable quick read for what it is. <<less

Very short and sweet. The main CP's story was a pit emotional and also sad for the MC's part. Like one of the commenters on the posts, I'm glad that it was a short story because if its too long, there will be so much pain and angst in the story.

Just wanna say im got two diff types of shous im soft for

Tsuandre shou (cold-outside warm-inside) and Gentle soft shou. The seond was delivered in this story with the waifu-ness

This short story was filled with shy sweetness and I was highly amused by the names the characters went by. Like look at these

Shou-wife, Broken-Leg Gong, Little doctor.
