Please use proper spacing and paragraphs. The first time Cheng Yao met Qian Heng, she couldn’t believe that this tall, handsome man with an air of elegance was the same “cancer of the industry” everyone warned her about.
His deep, captivating eyes made it even harder to believe.
Cheng Yao was skeptical—how could someone who looked this good be a cancer?
Until reality hit her hard—
She secretly observed Qian Heng’s every move, hoping to learn from him.
Her boss, expressionless and blunt as ever, remarked, “Stop staring. You’ve been watching me for days. If you have time to admire me, why not spend it reviewing case files?”
“……” Dude, you’re overthinking this.
When she asked for a raise—
Qian Heng gave no direct response. But that evening, for the first time, he showed up at a company gathering and personally dedicated a song to her—”When Dreams Are Shattered.”

[Mini Theater]Cheng Yao had too much to drink at the annual party. She ran up to the stage, grabbed the microphone, and shouted:
“What’s so great about Qian Heng? Just because he’s a partner?! One day, when I make it big, he’ll have to listen to me! From then on, I’ll be the one calling the shots! I, Cheng Yao, will make sure he knows what it means when I say— Your! Turn! Has! Come!”
That day, no one could forget the terrifying expression on Qian Heng’s face from the audience…
But what they didn’t know was—
The next day, Cheng Yao was cornered against a wall by Qian Heng.
With a blank expression, he said, “Don’t I already listen to you at home? In private, you call the shots. But at work? No. You still have to listen to me.”
“…”

- The ML is actually more feminist than the MC
- This book imo is a feminist book (if you find that offensive than wow you're questionable)
- Provides an interesting perspective on relationships, marriages and law
- Therefore very insightful
- Main leads both grow
- Although I will say what I say in the cons, in the end, their romance is fully equal and compelling to read
- There is justice, like I said the title is apt
Cons:- Although the book is so insightful, the author uses every single romance trope (except amnesia) to get them together
-

- The only reason why I gripe with this is because is a lot of unnecessary romcom elements in an otherwise well written book - it just feels like it doesn't fit. It's just that the author could have just done better to make them get together more naturally feeling
The romance once they get together feels really smooth and well written, especially at the end so I honestly think everyone should read this.ex. Slipping into his arms, him seeing the nickname on her phone, accidentally texting him, accidental cond*ms gift, co-inhabiting for an "ex", him only easing up on his opinion STARTING with her amazing cooking skills, her being beautiful but doesn't know it situations
