The main chunk of this novel is pretty good, with exciting cases and a powerful MC. Definitely face-slapping vibes, but in a satisfying "he deserved it" way.

However, the way the author writes the FL is so annoying, where she's constantly flirting with the MC and with everyone making jokes about her being a little bunny/cabbage, with the MC being the wolf. Definitely feels like the author's wish fulfilment about a young woman's starry eyed admiration towards the handsome older man.

Romance: as I said, yes from the FL, and despite the... more>> MC not returning the feelings yet I imagine that'd be coming up soon since there's nothing written about no-CP

Dropped because it's so gross to see a smart woman (she had graduated from a top uni) written into such a degrading lovesick idiot role. <<less

The MC does not have plot armor. He is just a decent lawyer.

Spoiler

In his first case he is defending his client against an accusation of robbery. He doesn't bring up evidence that immediately proves his client not guilty like other lawyer novels.

Firstly, he is able to argue that the client was under duress in the actual crime scene due to the armed criminals telling him to take the money.

Secondly, there was a previous case with the bank where a couple got robbed in the bank. The bank said that it was not liable because once the money left the counter the bank wasn't responsible. Using this same logic, he said that his client shouldn't be liable. The judge didn't actually agree with this specific reasoning, but instead the bank was deemed sort of guilty in their previous case. This kinda of shows that the MC doesn't win every argument

This Specific argument takes place in chapter 12
