Pretty unsatisfying.

Mc's standards are bottom of the barrel but not surprised bc zerg culture. He has 0 backbone and the relationship is pretty one sided bc ML will never be able to do any wrong in his eyes. It truly takes two hands to clap. ML is the epitome of a s*um man and has the "I'm a decent guy" feels but is actually really not.

The typical human guy who doesn't do any cultural research despite his 7+yrs of transmigration even after getting caught off guard by a zerg heat which directly impacts all the misunderstandings later on.

Spoiler

He also constantly looks the other way whenever mc's sad and lacks the ability to actually comfort him, and justifies it bc "he's not good with emotions". He actively let his partner deteriorate and while asks MC what's wrong, also never went out of his way to look for ways to help.

His justification for not wanting to get married is okay and valid except he never actually explained until the last main chapter and so just rejected MC multiple times despite knowing it was an important thing to MC. And apparently since he changed his stance after discovering the cultural impact marriage has in zerg culture, this could have all been avoided if he'd simply looked on the very accessible Internet instead of thinking MC wanted to trap him.

Despite "being tired of having to clarify that he's w his partner and not having an affair" dude was also content w letting the relationship sit on uncertain grounds and finally had to be sat down and asked what MC did wrong for him to torment the other for 7 years. Which THEN made him open his eyes to what was happening.

I personally think it's bc he could no longer delude himself into thinking things were fine/ couldn't handle someone thinking he was tormenting his partner when he's such a "decent" guy but I'm also being very negative rn.

[collapse]

It's not the worst but it's not as sweet as I was expecting. It's bad communication and a mild ending imo.

ML’s POV that showed the MC’s actions from the Zerg race, it was very interesting and heartbreaking at times because of their cultural differences. But it was a very good read. Especially learning about the MC’s backstory and ML’s upbringing.

Written in first person POV, which typically isn't my preference, but I ended up enjoying this short story quite a lot! The world in this follows the typical Zerg dynamic of the female being physically stronger and the male having more societal power, though ML being a transmigrator shifts these dynamics for the main couple.

MC is a pretty unreliable narrator, and I definitely changed my perspective (in a positive way) about ML a lot as more was revealed in the plot. The twist in the middle had me reeling, and... more>> the ending was very sweet after all the angst. Its very short, and the extras wrap things up nicely. Definitely recommend this one! <<less

It is 3:50 AM and I just finished this. Bad move. I thought this is a short sweet story, now my eyes are swollen from crying.

It started sweet but get real really fast.

All I can say is Communication is a key gosh darn it.

Overall it is a sweet story. Try it if you think your eyes are too dry.

5 stars.

It's rare reading a Zerg novel where the MC is the Female Zerg Shou, and not the Gong.

But when it's finally here... It's so Emotional and Heavy on the Shou's pov.

It's a story where the MC feeling like he drown in Guilt even though ML Loving and never blame him at all.

... more>> But it's also a flaw of ML where he didn't know a certain culture that made MC drown in long years of sadness and guilt.

But but but... The story is not That 'Heavy'. It didn't gave me headaches. It's just Emotional and pray for their happiness.

Of course it's HE. Also the angst itself only One-sided and doesn't written too much nor too little.

Anyway it's still Great and Worth reading. Please do try <<less

it's too short for my liking but after reading, it didn't feel that short at all. The ML's POV could've been longer, just to complete the feeling I'm looking for, but overall all, it's a great, painful but sweet story.

I could understand the MC's feeling, it was their child after all. But i've felt like what he felt was more of guilt for the ML rather than grief for their child, just like the ML

I wish this was longer and more painful, just so I could feel the angst more

Try... more>> this, it's worth it <<less
