Tbh, last arc could have been much more condensed. It was quite repetitive and frustrating at times, but also made sense in some ways. What person could really hold on to their sanity and not do anything illogical in that situation? Happy ending for them, after many, many occasions of suffering that would break most people's minds. In the end, they saved each other, and were able to live a normal life (for the most part). Good for them. Glad Little Apple and the Monk are probably alive too!! Even though MC is poor and of low status, ML still didn't feel horribly pressured to "take responsibility," and did so quite willingly, from the text. Although, ML doesn't have the same level of feelings as MC, but not to the point where he would be uncomfortable with marrying and potentially having a future relationship with him. It was still a bit dubious because of the "taking responsibility" reasoning, for the sake of the story and the current state of the relationship & feelings I'll let it slide. Neither are intentionally or actively acting manipulatively, and are generally consenting adults. Good for them, their positioning is relatively equal, if those status/personal asymmetries are equatable in this particular fictional work. ANYWAYS, things are looking good as of chapter 7. And for three years. ML, Yan Yu ignores your discomfort and rejections every time. Is that not an issue?? But it somehow is when MC does it mildly a few times out of concern for ML's safety, legally. Don't even get me started on his brother too, he's so incredibly annoying. I'm undecided on Su Ke, other than feeling a bit bad for his flirting clearly not being understood, but now with how ML is treating MC, I wouldn't be opposed to shipping MC and Su Ke instead. And MC, dude, you literally kissed ML by accident. How the f*ck do you just pretend everything's fine, when literally your entire team can see what's going on. Qi Yue is very vengeful, and I respect that. Bro outright poisoned He Zhen and killed Luo Laizi for what they did to He Ling. Mama Fang is right, He Zhen's current situation is karma. 

He Ling is slowly starting to stand up for himself against He Zhen and other antagonizers. Doesn't go wild with trying to humiliate them, just states the facts and refuses to engage further. Hell yeah. Good for him. Qi Yue is also very proud of him, understandably.

It's pretty funny how everyone is slowly realizing how vicious Qi Yue can be to those who provoke him, but no one says anything because the people earned it... And He Ling standing up for himself 100% and not taking any of He Zhen's delusional scheming. Qi Yue out here backing him up and delivering the final blow. Love that for them.  <<less
