The idea of rifts opening up one day, subsequently leading to an RPG-like awakening of skills in humans started gaining popularity in South Korea over a decade and a half ago. Since then, the stories have expanded from the basic element of a fighting class to ideas such as the MC being a farmer or dungeon hotel manager class. More recently, the top-rated hunter-based regressor series, Solo Leveling, was adapted into an anime series. 

Followers should note that I will also add titles where the world includes the generation of dungeons, such as those in fantasy settings; and any dimensional movement of a person from a typical Hunter-based on-Earth setting.
