Danmei I've read and recommended so far. So, it definitely depends on my taste!

I always gravitate to works that have deep and profound theme and evokes deep contemplation either about life, the meaning of life, death, and the purpose of life's existance. So, many of the novels I read contain that theme. Although, there are also a few that are considered to be light reading. 

But I mainly create this list to keep track of the danmei I have read.
