I realised I also read Thriller Trainee before. But I dropped it, I think that was one of my biggest disappointments because I liked the concept so much. Magician in infinity horror game? That's so 厉害!!!! Enemies to lovers in a high tension environment??? Say no more!!! I rushed to read it. Man I agree with you. MC just felt too cold... like a stone statue, that's why I make sure to never read, I can't remember all I read but when I see this novel I have an instinct to avoid it when I go hunting for novels to read. The novel was soo right yet so wrong. Like objectively there was nothing wrong with it, but everything felt disconnected. I didn't understand the motivations behind either of their actions at all.( saying the characters are sociopaths for a few scenes is fine ,but the whole damn book?). The plot setting was so effin exciting. And than I read it. The execution was such a huge loss compared to the potential. Instead of feeling anxiety and thrill- I felt irritated? - rosaa1· Apr 19, 2025 06:46 PM@nimi_gdl OMG me too, you're NOT alone!!! I even saw so many sexy fanarts and quotes that made me think damn 2ha must be another masterpiece like MDZS. Sadly, this is not true. Years later... I have not found any novel like MDZS that develops the plot well and moves me to the point of tears, thinking about it for years, always playing the beautiful soundtrack and reminiscing.... there are so much what ifs, content and complex characters to ruminate like.... Jiang Cheng... or even the villain. Sorry I got into a tangent here hahahaReply · 1 · 0
