I didn’t check any details, comments, or reviews on Novel Updates (NU) or similar sites.I came across this novel after seeing it mentioned in a forum. Someone casually mentioned its name, and I assumed, “Oh, this person has read it and must think it’s decent.” But in hindsight, they were probably just answering a random question, not recommending it. It’s like someone asking, “What fruit starts with an A?” and someone else replying, “Apple.” I misinterpreted that reply as a glowing endorsement.So here I was, reading this novel until chapter 436 out of 705—more than halfway through—before I realized I’d been wasting my time.At first, it seemed promising, like a typical sign-in system novel. I expected something along the lines of Sign-in Buddha’s Palm or Top Tier Providence: Secretly Cultivate for a Thousand Years. But I was wrong. The story started strong, but once Li Mu (the MC) left his small world, the plot completely fell apart.From around chapter 150 onward, the story spirals into a mess. It’s all about messy relationships, wars between races, forced plotlines, unnecessary burdens, and constant repetition. Meanwhile, the MC’s cultivation slows down while characters below him somehow level up rapidly and start catching up.Yeah, it was a s*upid choice on my part, and I regret wasting my time. I didn’t even think to check the reviews on Novel Updates, where it has a bad rating. There’s even a comment there that outright says it’s terrible. Big L for me.If you’re still undecided about this novel, let me save you the trouble: just don’t read it. Unlike my previous novel reviews, I’m not writing a detailed summary for this one—it’s not worth it. Reading this after Otherworldly Evil Monarch (https://www.novelupdates.info/viewlist/84879/) completely ruined my mood. Time to find a better novel.
