It reminds me of Your Scandals Are Cuter Than You in the way that it is not too long, but also light hearted. It’s more about the mc living a happy and carefree life away from everyone who previously mistreated him. 

There is no revenge, mc hit a breaking point and decided to stop caring about those bastards and left without leaving them any escape roots. There’s no over exaggerated revenge or ending for the characters, the people who broke the law went to jail, the people who mistreated mc realized that mc didn’t want them in his life anymore and didn’t care for them and they gave up. 

The romance is only at the very end but you know almost the whole time that ml was in love with mc but mc was living freely for the first time so I thought it was reasonable that the romance started to late. If you want intense romance you should check out something else. Another reason it reminded me of Scandals was because their relationship didn’t have drastic changes after the start of their relationship, they were already close and comfortable with each other. <<less

 A lot of other novels in this list are comedy and slice of life, this one is more like Safety Manual Labor Tips with a Twist of 2d. The plot could have been serious but the author made the wonderful decision to throw out their common sense and continued to write. 

The only way I can describe the genre or purpose for newer danmei readers would be, if you liked the idea of svsss as a parody of the stallion genre this is like a comedy of the cultivation genre. Svsss is still serious because it’s not a full comedy it’s a parody, but this novel so far is just a comedy maybe there is serious points but it is to make the comedy and plot be cohesive. I wouldn’t be able to recommend it to people by saying it’s like svsss cause they have two different purposes, but the idea of a novel making a parody or comedy of a genre is where they coincide. I wanted to make the comparison with a widely known danmei so people can try to open their minds and not take it too seriously! <<less
