A pretty nice read, but you need to accept things as they happen and don’t question it if you’d like to enjoy this series. The title insinuates that there’s mpreg, and it’s not wrong. Just like the intimate scenes, the timeframe of this pregnancy was swallowed up by a time jump. You don’t get much details and it’s just a “by the way, this happened” kind of thing. There’s no omegaverse or guideverse setting in this series, so don’t worry.

I’d say the first two-thirds of the series focuses on plot with some romance kinda sprinkled in. The last third fully focuses on romance while the author tries to tie up loose ends of the plot on the side. The way the author tries to set up the stage for the romance settings is…a bit too cheesy for me…but maybe someone out there likes that kind of stuff. 

On a minor note, I feel like the author lacks descriptions? She describes the same characters in the same way…using the same words over and over again for 70 chapters. Lowkey gives a “puppet performing a play” vibe to this story and pulls me out of the immersion of the plot.  <<less

Plot is ok — I didn’t have much problems with it. The main reason why this wasn’t promoted to my “4-5 star” list is because I wasn’t too fond of the writing style. Anyways, ML is yandere. MC is a bit slow in reaction time, but mentally he’s rather steady. A pretty straightforward story with a pretty straightforward “trouble” arc, and a pretty straightforward resolution arc. 

There’s a horror tag, but as someone who has read enough infinite flows and horror novels, this wasn’t anything scary in terms of descriptions and suspense (from the reader’s perspective, that is) <<less

My personal rating is 3.5 — written decently well, but I did start wondering how many chapters were left once I hit chapter 70. I finished the main story and don’t plan to read the extras. In my opinion, I don’t think the ex was a s*um in the first life — he was just a naive idiot. He still showed symptoms of idiocy in the second life, but he showed more signs of being an obsessive lunatic. Even then, I’m not sure if this counts as him being a “scum”. He had character potential in the second life, but the author really wanted him to go down the insufferable villain route.... more>>

I have conflicted feelings about the villains of this novel. The explanations for why they hate or hate-love MC make sense, but it doesn’t sit right with me. Why does it feel like once MC does one not-optimal thing, there’s someone who immediately wants to off him for it. Is everyone sick in this series? 

Lastly, the main couple is more or less harmonious. Since this is omegaverse, there is a bit of non consensual stuff happening in one scene. But after that gets cleared up, the communication between MC and ML is almost impeccable and, healthy for the most part. <<less

This frustrating relationship between the two is still going on at chapter 64 (out of 72). I stopped reading because at this point, even if they “fall in love” at the end of the novel, I don’t think it would wash away the annoyance I felt when reading.  <<less
