I don't know why I put off reading this for so long. Like, every single time I search for unlimited flows to read, this book was always smack dab in the front page of recs. Honestly, I understand the hype. Cool MC that has a brain, humor (though a bit deadpan), and looks. I really enjoy Infinite Flows where MC sometimes has another identity (like Welcome To The Nightmare Live or NPC in a horror game). It has pretty good plot and is a great read for when you want another infinite flow to read. MC has some of the qualities of the MC from "Became an infinite game beauty npc", but Scepter Rose has a more serious tone, as far as I can tell. I LOVE the idea of players living in "districts". All of the descriptions make me believe the districts are semi cyberpunk dystopia inspired. This one was pretty good! MC is a kind of exorcist and in exchange for someone to go through 1 month of suffering, he can cure them of whatever is plaguing them. He willingly joined the death game because he wanted eternal life. He's quite nonchalant, and because of that, players mistake him fo a special NPC - a ferryman, an NPC that can help a player clear a game - but for a price. I have nothing more to say, you shared most of my favs (GHG, WTNL, BROKE, NHSRE, and MIST) so I’m really frugal here.
I recommend “The Days I Clear Escape Games Pretending To Be An NPC”, “Please Stop Pretending To Be A Cute Newcomer!”, “I Am the Villain on Infinite Studios”, “Out of the Way, I’m About to Speak”, and “Are You s*upid? I Can Draw! [Unlimited]”, these are quite comedic especially the last two but they still has a shred of plot, I recommend reading after experiencing numerous failed attempts at finding a comedic, unlimited flow novel.
Also person above who recommended “After the Full-Level Boss Entered the Infinite Game By Mistake” knows the definition of peak, AFLBEI is sooo good, it has such a good mixture of romance, horror(ish), plot, representation of humanity in it.
This one differs a lot from normal Unlimited Flow where the main theme is often terrifying where teammates stabs each other in the back. It’s more of seeking themes of friendship and unity, I can’t explain the plot without spoiling so all you need to know is the author’s wording and plot twists are genuinely entertaining!!
Disclaimer: the author kinda goes wild with mc and ml’s s** life later on, and there’s a prequel called “Return of the Lord God” which is a QT, showing mc and ML’s gradual progress of falling in love, comparing the writing quality ROTLG can only be considered an average QT novel, but that’s when you see how much the author has improved in their new novel!
