 after completing it, I actually loved this novel a lot, definitely one of my faves! I highly recommend it, it is very much my type, I love these kind of stories with like a mysterious background yet funny and light hearted moments that starts just as a fun read and as it progresses BOOM, there's actually a plot. I mean, don't expect some mind bending moments or huge reveals, it's kind of up to your imagination, but I like that.... more>>

It’s very amusing, love the concept, it feels a bit like a parody with all of the tropes surrounding the halo individuals, it’s really interesting and fun imo and I love how the couple was a couple from the beginning, it’s the first time I’ve seen it like this in a chinese novel.  <<less

At first I thought it was mid tier among xianxia transmigrations but idk I’m a sucker for those novels and I find myself wanting more and more and now I love it, I think it’s pretty entertaining and now I think it’s a solid xianxia transmigration novel. It combines two things I love: xianxia transmigration + melon eating. About the melons, idk, it’s entertaining enough and the system is really fun, oh and also the ML is a cutie which is always great, his nickname is so funny, well I hope he is the ML bc so far there hasn’t been any romance but it’s pretty obvious. I think it’s really worth reading if you like these kind of novels, it’s funny and entertaining.  <<less

I had added this a couple of years ago when I read 40 chapters, this time seeing someone picked it up I started it again and ran out of chapters soon bc the chapters are super short so I MTLed up til +c619 and I think I've had enough. I could keep reading it, it's entertaining and the author added some mystery to it which I appreciate but after so long I just don't think solving the mystery makes it worth finishing it for me. ... more>>

Also the couples are a bit... it feels as if the author asked herself how to make some problematic tropes work out, I guess they kinda do but they aren't my favorite.

 Spoiler alert !!! but the main couple is the FL x her adoptive brother (now, they have a backstory and they don't have the same surname, he's basically her blood bank, you can justify it, that's why I say the author picked some tropes and thought ok now how can this work?) ok in their case I guess it's not that bad but they are not my favorite couple, then the oriFL and oriML also have a 6 year age gap and he goes to her HIGH SCHOOL as an undercover professor, ok he's a young professor but she's literally a minor. However, the author makes sure to say how he's gonna wait until she's an adult but they are already entangled sooo idk, and then there's MC's cousin that was severely depressed and her love interest is her psychologist, she fully "recovers" thanks to the MC's efforts, now they haven't started dating yet so maybe they aren't another couple, now I want them to be happy and it's fiction but that would probably make a therapist lose their license. Despite that the novel is pretty entertaining, kinda funny, I mean it's your typical qidian long (+1k chapters) novel with a female protagonist and a mysterious plot, it's addictive and everything but it can also get tiring. If I could pause time I would read it but since I don't have all the time of the world and I got tired of MTLing I probably won't finish it. <<less

The FL is sweet tho, those 2 are cute but it's not enough to make me keep reading this because there have already been enough scenes that make me cringe where the MC is highlighted as amazing but it just doesn't make sense. Also, the oriML feels more like a small time villain so it's not even particularly satisfying. <<less

I loved it! I finished it at last, I'd started it last year and thought there were more chapters by now but then I ran out of them and ended up MTLing the rest so some parts were a bit confusing to me but that was just bc I MTLed, don't worry tho, if u have money and really like it the translation is actually done, it's just coin locked and eventually the other chapters will be openly released. Either way, I really enjoyed it, it's perfectly addictive, the pacing was great, every chapter ended with something that made me want to go and read the next one. The melons were good, the romance was... more>> cute, the comedy was great, the system was funny, and the main leads were mostly likable, the MC was pretty... unique, she was very thick skinned and had a somewhat unique thought process, it made for really amusing interactions. These melons did something to my brain chemistry though, they are so explosive that idc about irl gossip anymore. 

My only pet peeves are I guess like with other melon eating novels, the MC or the author comments too much about other people's businesses and sometimes the comments might be insensitive like her opinions about DV are a bit weird imo, but not to the point of not knowing right from wrong though, it's just very opinionated and the opinions might be insensitive. Also, I guess this is the thing with some transmigration novels but she just spawned in that world and we never got to hear anything about her past life, she just adapted instantly and started living that life, but well... I guess that's her unique thought process at work. <<less

I added this last year to my list but only MTLed like 40 chapters or so until my brain got fried, but now I've finally... more>> finished it, it's not bad, very addictive and full of melons and it has a kinda interesting plot (actually I think it was kinda dumb but I'll take that over nothing). It's definitely a novel to read when you have free time all at once or at least within a month before you forget who the characters are, I had to start from 0 because well, I'd already forgotten who was who and the full details of the scandals. There are so many scandals and they all are kinda fast and some are similar too, lots of delusional characters and lots of liking their partner/ex's relative scandals, lots of cheating, most of the melons weren't really different from those of other novels but it was still fun. I would've liked to see more side characters find love, everyone would get cheated on or something of the sort, among their generation there was only 1 other successful and sweet couple iirc. I don't hate it I def didn't want some of them to suddenly get partners but come on...  <<less

Anyway, I just don't think that it was that funny or interesting which was what I was hoping for, and the MC was very one dimensional too so I didn't feel like reading more, at least the premise in itself is kind of fun. <<less
