Protagonist is hilarious he’s a ‘coward’ but that definitely does not stop himself to survive and persist. I REALLY think you should give this a read regardless what genre you usually go for aslong as you get the gist of how Korean novels go and enjoy that. The plot is amazing I’ve never come across anything like it I didn’t know people could create this like what…oh I won’t lie I’m a bit confused on the whole creepy pasta and then there’s like stories other people make adding on to it? I don’t get how it works but I get the basics of what’s going on. 

Other characters are entertaining too so far the lore about this other world isn’t uncovered, however I’m confused why a otaku nerd like protagonist  isn’t questioning how his other world basically oversee and create this ‘darkness’ propaganda like that isn’t a huge deal but okay.

Chapter 130-ongoing. Guys. This story hits THE spot. If you like romance, an oblivious, dumb but salted fish MC so it’s okay, and quirky MLS and ofc Chinese novels, pick this up. I’m surprised, I felt a lot towards this story and still am. I’ve tried reading a BL manhua with this same plot with a system and going to other worlds but it gets tiring (and depressing) after two worlds. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU HAVE TO LEAVE A PERFECTLY GOOD ML ALL ALONE?! It’s cruel and I take it too personally. However I like how this story approached it. For a novel in general ofc it wouldn’t be a 4/5 but for the writing and in its own group I’d say it’s really good! Enjoyable! I was going to even give it a 5/5 buttt fine.

I wasn’t expecting chapters full of cooking and whatever else, I was honestly not feeling it at first because of that. However so far I like it. 

I can say that the characters are fine, interactions are funny but I also can’t comprehend how they come to conclusions on things I’m not sure if that’s the author or/and translation. Plot is fine although I feel like there are so much original elements the potential of the creativity is limited with the writing and slice of life. Translation I appreciate the website but I don’t know if it’s the writing or translation but this story introduces original ideas that aren’t explained properly even when explained, and a lot of the times there is no context only the introduction of this original idea and it’s yeahhh confusing and I do badly wanted to understand. I don’t want to sound picky and negative there was just unnecessary dialogue that was fine it’s just they were repeated again and again just at a different chapter and with different words? Naturally it made it unenjoyable but clearly despite that I still like this and it’s definitely something to consider if you have nothing else to read and avoiding those hard core brain melting lore stories, just don’t try to think too hard like I and get a headache, then it would be a ‘relaxing’ read.

 Now that I know for sure that it’s a slice of life now I won’t take this as a serious story as I did when I started lolol. OH another thing about the writing, because of the lack of proper explained context or just no context at all some parts didn’t fit the vibe of chapters, suddenly there would be an attempt of tension when it didn’t fit because that part of MC wasn’t described or even informed at all. I hope it was intentional and not on the writing part cause well it downgrades things ykwim

Anyway, MC is living that fairytale picture book life. Some chapters gave that vibe which was really cool and vivid as a reader!  <<less

First I’ll get it over with: the translation was GREAT. The translator was so hospitable. It was really cool to see the original words, the translator didn’t change it but instead explained to us what they meant, I learnt a lot lol. Their readers were so supportive it was wholesome to see how quick the translation ended because of the support, and it was like we were reading with the translator that was fun. Other translating website is like this but I took notice of it more this time! It was just wholesome. 

Writing is okay, plot however I think was so interesting to take in, there are lots of transmigration possession ABO stories but this one reminds me of ‘turning’ which is a HOT take to say. As my all time favourite ‘turning’ is so unique and so was this. Turning gave us a refreshing plot with supernatural powers that somehow complimented ABO concept and the superpower addition wasn’t just a plot thickener but a idea that made the ABO genre be made something new, similarly this one with Mecha and ABO. I just really loved how this was. Writing doesn’t come close to ‘turning’ or any similar other than the romance which was soooo blisteringly sweet. They remind me of Yuder and Kishar except Kishar is a better ML aheeeeemmmmm.

Okay now before you get too excited because of my overhyping be sure to consider these things. The translator already did anyway but with my opinion. This is a shuangwen and I agree except it’s not an unreasonable one. I think the MC was written to be as ambitious and hard working with the intelligence he’s written to have had and this was actually shown. It’s not an unreasonable illogical ‘smooth progress beginning to end’. This type makes shuangwen a lot more bearable that’s for sure. However ofc it’s unrealistic, if you want smth more realistic this isn’t it. 

MC was awesome, other characters with their families were Chinese-drama level which was headache inducing, character development weren’t natural but at least it happened. Characters overall fine. My favourite Yun Wu, Kaleb and Ke Lei :p

Final review: I’d still say it’s a solid 3 to 3.5 within its genre and writing complexity. It’s wholesome, it’s romance, with supernatural to enhance that relationship and build the plot. A little less bias this time because a lot doesn’t make sense. At first that’s fine cause it’s all about the character impressions for us and each other but you know, you see how it really lacks depth when the ending happened and there was explanation except all bunched up as if it was rushed but wasn’t. Ofc we love Shen Yi & Rong Qian still. Oh, I found a Chinese website immediately after looking and had to MTL the rest so there’s that <<less
