Yeah, just personal preference, but I found the romances really unappealing/uninteresting. There definitely are good elements in the stories, but I really couldn't vibe with the MLs at all and it ruined my reading experience. But they're obviously really popular novels with huge fanbases who love the romance, so lol maybe I'm the problem!
