Qiu Mingquan was almost 40 years old when he died. He was found at the roadside by a couple and adopted by him, calling them his grandparents. He left school when his grandparents got sick and has always been poor. He was a construction worker when he died.

Feng Rui, the spirit in his necklace, was a very wealthy man. He tells Qiu Mingquan he will help him get rich with his knowledge of what will happen in the future. He also asks him to visit a monk to see if the monk can help him. Unfortunately they don't get any help from him.

Qiu Mingquan starts with buying gold and silver tipped pens which will become very popular at this time. He starts selling them at different schools on parents day. With the money he earns from this he starts buying bonds. With a price difference that exists between cities, he buys them in one city end sells them in another. He earns a nice starting capital with that.

When the stockmarket opens he starts buying stocks. He earns a lot of money with that. He tells people he does this on his grandfather's orders since he is so young.

Feng Rui starts helping him with his homework and gives him advice on books to read. He becomes the best in his class. At first he is cheating with Feng Rui telling him the right answers, but when he learns more, he can do most things by himself.

A bunch of gangsters starts harrassing the people at Qiu Mingquan's place, trying to force them to sell their homes. Qiu Mingquan tells them not to sell and fights back. When they try to set fire to his home he hears them and one of the gangsters is set on fire. In his previous life his grandfather had one of his legs broken by them and could never walk properly again. A while later the man behind the gangsters sends men to try and buy the houses in a more legal way, but they still offer too little, so everyone refuses.

When the city government finally comes to offer money everyone accepts and they get enough moeny to buy a nice home. They decide to buy a home along with the Liu family, who helped Mingquan and his grandparents in his previous life. Their son Liu Dongfeng is a police officer. Mingquan advices mother Liu to buy a shop as well to start a hairdressing salon. He buys a shop himself as well to start selling groceries. Both shops become very succesful.

Feng Rui asks Mingquan to get in contact with his family to give them some advice on good opportunities they missed in his previous life. He does this by pretending to be an apprentice monk when they visit a temple. Thanks to this they earn billions. He also meets the Feng Rui who lives in this time. When Feng Rui appears, his necklace disappears and his spirit can't communicate with him.

Mingquan becomes acquainted with several well known stockbrokers and the new president of the "stockbrokers society".

A few years later Mingquan is accepted at highschool with the best scores, even besting Feng Rui. Feng Rui starts to study hard trying to surpass him, but doesn't succeed in that. He a difficult relationship with Feng Rui at first because he caught him impersonating a monk at the temple.

Mingquan starts investing in several companies that become succesful (an appliances store company, delivery service, appliances factory, etc). He becomes a minor stockhokder in all of these companies.

At school he participates in a computer group and they create a software for stockbrokers which immediately becomes a huge succes.

He comes into danger a lot of times, several times because he is sort of a goody two shoes trying to help people. A few times people try to rob him when he is selling stocks. In the beginning everything is in cash. When he is visiting Feng Rui's home, robbers come to steal the billions worth of bonds they have and they get away, kidnapping Mingquan and Wei Ling, the neighbour and wife of the police commisioner. Feng Rui follows them in their trunk and gets them out and calls for help. While escaping Mingquan gets shot. The main kidnapper was someone who kidnapped Wei Ling and her son years ago and has just gotten out of jail. They told the couple they killed their son. When Mingquan talks about how he was dound, they find out he is their son. Because he is afraid his father will get trouble because of how much money he has earned, he decides to act as if they have become his godparents.

They have adopted a Xiang Cheng, whose father was killed trying to rescue Wei Ling and her son from the kidnappers years ago. Mingquan has a rocky relationship with him. Xiang Cheng is in love with Feng Rui and sees how much attention Feng Rui pays to him. He is also the one quarreling with Feng Rui which caused their death and rebirth. He had confessed to him and Feng Rui rejected him. He had not intended to let him die. He is a pretty nice person with a very short fuse.

When they graduate and are accepted at university Feng Rui confesses to Mingquan. Mingquan rejects him. After that Feng Rui decides to go study abroad.

Mingquan's sister who studies biology gets accepted into a study group which will go to Russia for half a year. When he hears they will be traveling by train he decides to travel with them. He knows there will be a lot of robbers on this train in this time and by the time she returns it will be even worse. He takes the opportunity to also bring along a wagon full of tv's. Robbers invade the train several times, but their team is allright, partially thanks to the help of a passenger. In Russia someone takes them to a hotel to set them up. They manage to escape thanks to the help of the same passenger who helped them before, but become the target of the robbers because of this. They are determined to kill them when they return by train. Mingquan sells the tv's to a very wealthy Russian man, defeating a dealer from Japan who also arrives at around the same time to sell tv's to this Russian. This dealer hires the same robbers who are already targeting Mingquan to kill him.

On their trip back the robbers try to capture them, but they manage to escape, killing a few of the robbers and capturing the others with the help of the police who has decides to interfere and stop these robbers.

A few years later there will be a huge flooding disaster in China because of heavy rainfall. Mingquan has no idea how to prevent it, so he has been stocking materials a few hundred million in materials in advance. When the disaster comes he sends the materials to the help teams. He decides to travel there himself as well when he finds out Xiang Cheng is also there as a soldier. Han Li, a friend of Mingquan who is in love with Xiang Cheng has also travelled there. Feng Rui who has returned from the USA follows him. When Xiang Cheng is left behind because there is not enough room on their rescue boat, Feng Rui and Mingquan take a helicopter to rescue him. They manage to find him, but he gets trapped and their helicopter crashes because of lack of fuel. Mingquan promises to be together with Feng Rui. They get rescued in the end, but Mingquan doesn't wake up from a coma. Xiang Cheng loses a few toes and resigns from the army.

Spirit Feng Rui takes over Mingquan's body and goes to the temple to ask for help. He hears that he is the problem. Mingquan is too attached to him. Spirit Feng Rui decides to destroy the necklace he has been living in to set him free. After that his spirit disappears and Mingquan wakes up. He has the remains of the necklace / spirit put in a small bag he puts round his neck. He is very sad about his disappearance, but still decides to become with present Feng Rui.

A few months later Feng Rui sees it and just happens to put his necklace in this bag, reuniting with his spirit. Apparantly the necklace became infected with blood when they fell and became a little different from the necklace of the past. Because of that Feng Rui was not reborn like Mingquan, but came back in spirit form in the necklace. Now the problem has been solved. They become a happy couple.

Han Li and Xiang Cheng become a happy couple as well. Mingquan's sister marries his friend Liu Dongquin the police officer and they get twins.

A nice novel, but don't have to read it again. Not much romance. Mostly about MC earning money with stocks and MC getting in trouble and getting wounded several times. MC is a nice person who likes to help people. ML starts out as a very cold person. He has never seen people live as poorly as MC. He has never really cared about anybody., but changes because of MC. After MC and his grandparents move, grandparents aren't mentioned a lot anymore. His parents appear regularly. <<less

Be happy with sports
3 - Webnovel says completed, but novel does not feel completed. It ends during matches. MC has come a long way though and is very succesful in baseball and very rich at the end. I liked it and would have liked it to continue. Give it 3 stars because it doesn't feel finished.
MC went 30 years back in time from age 40 to age 10, so I assume it starts in the 80s/90s. Starts way before crash of internet bubble which happened around 1999 and 2000. MC makes a lot of money by speculating on this. Has MC playing with famous baseball players that really exist.
In his previous life Jake Smith was paralysed in his teens and had been sitting in a wheelchair ever since. At age 40 he died due to an accident. The will of the world sends him back in time to age 10 before he became paralysed. His wish was to be happy.
Jake starts training to make his dream of becoming a professional baseball player come true. After several years he is recruited and later starts playing professionally. He plays with famous baseball players like Shaq, Kobe Bryant and others.
Thanks to his knowledge of the future he makes wise investments by buying stocks and becomes very wealthy.
