If the MC is the top/seme/gong/in-charge, it's more fun because then the MC is actually (usually) proactive!!?? And not (usually) randomly sexually assaulted by their own lover!!!??? Why?

Also I really like horror and Seme MC have this genre down pat somehow, maybe because they're considered the protectors so they don't typically have a person that will protect them from all their troubles?? Not sure why this is a thing but it's great for me, I can use the Seme tag as a way to find better MC's!
