General story wise, it’s a bit chaotic. A number of important things happen off screen or are rushed past. There’s also just elements that feel dropped or underdeveloped, such as MC’s mother. However, it made me laugh a lot and I enjoyed the MC’s character a lot along with his family. Praise be the Emperor. Our favorite stone faced daddy. <<less

Haaaaaa, took half a year to read this entire thing. It’s not traditionally good, but god are there many flaws, but I don’t regret reading it at all. A fun read, good horror scenarios and hot scenes with our leads. Look, if you don’t like perceived dub-con, (it’s not really dub con because MC Bai Lixan is completely into it with his constantly forgetting husband), it’s not gonna be hot. It’s hard because one of the poor characters of it had just…suffered so much. Like I had to take breaks to handle it. This is related to SA and it’s hard not to feel dread for this character. 

There is some military over enthusiasm with a side character introduced later in. Honestly, I hated him. Bai Lixan is literally a god, yet they had to make this dude almost equal in several things and also he’s always perfect in his decision making. He didn’t deserve the side character he was paired with who was a bad ass who worked her way to that position, but alas, not much one can do. The final arc/ending was…silly. Like they gathered all these objects and such and it really didn’t matter. Honestly, if I were to reread this it would be on an arc by arc basis, and just skip the ending. Only thing worth it is the Alice in wonderland reference, those were fun.  <<less

Spent over a 1000 chapters with these psychos and I still love them. I almost didn’t complete this series because the first arc is…not great.... more>> The drama is good, but the 3d tv business clash was so dull and tr*sh. Luckily, it gets better after. Bai Lixan, our dear sweet MC, will forever be a beautiful gremlin of my heart and while the ending arcs are something, they are at least entertaining. It’s been a year since I’ve read this, but I still remember the republic of china arc and its damn good. A taste of eldritch horror and fun. Also, Dija, can’t forget our possessive ML who constantly has to forget. It’s a good pair, they have chemistry and I enjoy them together. It’s slocky, but when it comes to the many quick transmigration I’ve read, they are a good pair.  <<less

*deep sigh* I love it, I hate it, I’m mixed on it. Some good palace intrigue even if it’s not super deep. I dropped it for like a month because I was frustrated with the long haul to the romantic climax. Some days a little talking will go a long way for these characters. However, it gets points for pushing me to finish the separate arc of “Stray” and finish it! So I give this novel credit for that. The little sister and second prince are fantastic tho, especially in the later parts. I love ML’s with good sibling relationships, that’s my bread and butter. Especially ones who are obsessive since to me, it sweetens the obsessions to show that the ML can maintain normal relationships while dedicating themselves so completely to their partners. It’s weird, but I don’t think you get into obsessive, possessive, or yandere LIs if you’re normal. <<less

I normally avoid mpreg as I don’t care much for child rearing stories nor pregnancy. However, the eldritch aspect got me and this leaned more... more>> into comedy horror than anything. The leads are obsessive, hilarious, and equally freaky. Their little squid is adorable and the support cast is very sweet! I love that ML, even being a yandere, has strong family ties even if he’s a bit out of touch. The MC is also a yandere, but maintains normal relationships with people and for the most part comes off like a normal guy (if you ignore how easily he is down to clown with tent**les and his “we die together” mentality.) The story is bloody, a little psychotic and filled with body horror but very sweet. The author also does their best to write smut that can get past the censor, so points to them for that one! My issue is with how it wraps up. While the conflicting schemes and underhanded tactics between the Lead and the antagonist are fun, I wished we had a few more horror game instances before the end as well as a few honeymoon chapters after the last fight to just stabilize out the end. It didn’t feel quite rushed, but like there should have been a bit more. Especially since it’s this big lead up to discovering who the villain is and then basically a power farming chapter and then the confrontation. 

Also, I want to spend more time in the world! I really like the Game system and how they interact with their administrators. I want to see more of that and the other games! It’s such an interesting premise! <<less
