Crazy FMC gets points and skills for every brush with death, then uses said skills to court death more aggressively by provoking higher level enemies. ... more>> She is actually quite smart, and often outwits entities and saves people through her bold but effective moves.  The setting of a sixth-sense with lots of little dimensions housing ghosts or monsters with their own story that must be unraveled to leave is very fun~  Haven't seen much of the romance aspect as of CH80-ish where I've read to, it seems to be secondary to her daring stunts, but watching the ML often get dragged into helping her even when he's speechless with her antics is funny. <<less

Not sure how to describe the setting on this one, but here goes.  FMC is a mental illness patient in a post-apocalyptic world where the outside world is mostly in ruins filled with toxic smoke aside from shelters here and there, one of which is her hospital.  Her particular quirk is that she forgets everything after a set period, I believe it was a day? but she quickly realizes it doesn't apply to the game, for some as of yet unknown reason.  ... more>>

Anyways, the VR game she's playing as "therapy" is set in a world before the disaster, wherein each person is matched with personas that give them certain powers, and can choose to enjoy the setting and do slow life, or dive into the horror puzzle dungeons to grind for compatibility with their personas to level them up and get more skills, but you can also steal someone else's if you kill them.  FMC says she wants a peaceful life running a store, but draws three high risk level personas in the same breath.  Story is mostly her getting unwillingly dragged into horror scenarios, mostly for sake of saving for her store or just getting unlucky enough to be nearby, and proceeding to lie and beat her way out.  The scenarios aren't all, the game life and real life aside from them are quite fleshed out, but her real life is a bit of a slow-burn reveal, so you only get scarce detail there, but otherwise the detail lvl is quite healthy. <<less

Oh, this poor, poor MC.  He's a full on coward, hates everything horror related, clowns, ghosts, the works, but gets dragged into another world, and has to work his way up in a company that salvages stuff from otherworldly horror mini dungeons to get his golden ticket home.  The comedy of him trying desperately to hold himself together, screaming internally while holding a complete dead face is pretty decent, and watching him speeding his way through puzzles with his background knowledge from liking the game/book the company was a part of is fun too.  ... more>>

The larger story about the world the Company is in and the entities that make the dungeons is the larger plot, as he discovers more while climbing the ranks and collecting skills and tools.  Don't get too attached to any side characters tho, aside from his coworkers they mostly only appear once, and people drop like flies whenever someone f*cks up an instance by breaking a rule or something.  Good horror, not too scary, interesting and decently funny. <<less

MC gets a really unlucky position as the fool who killed a protagonist, who will eventually cultivate into a powerful vicious ghost and merk him... more>> immediately, so he concocts an urgent plan.  He goes to the ML's funeral and puts on a very sincere show of loving him and grieving, intriguing the ML so he will let him live.  This culminates into a conflict between them once the MC can fend him off, since they keep crossing paths in various ghost related scenarios.  Beware, this is no fluff, a real enemies to lovers.  The horror is quite good, with plenty of interesting action. <<less
