Some of the ‘thriller’ parts are good — not that I enjoy descriptions of gore, but it definitely did not pull punches on some of the horror scenes despite the presumed target audience.

The MC is frustratingly naive in thinking he can keep his fishy secret and willfully ignorant that the ML is just humoring him. Not to mention that the only character with situational awareness is mute, so the amount of intelligent dialogue is practically 0. Chances of picking up again: also practically 0, but I read the wiki summary. <<less
