Highlights:

1) Not everything is revealed to the reader from the start. You are kept interested as you slowly learn more about her past.

2) Vicious, two-face scheming with character development.

3) Romance is not the focus. You will be kept guessing about the male lead for quite some time. Best of all, a) the main character's revenge is not reliant on clinging to the male lead's thigh and b) the romance deals with both her past and present identities. 

Summary: this is an underrated novel that deserves more love.  <<less

Not a lot of suspense, but still satisfying. A story in a modern setting with a lot of classic tropes. A calm main character who ruthlessly brings about the downfall of her worthless ex-husband, her bbq-pork son, and her white lotus daughter-in-law (and a few other s*umbags along the way).... more>>

Highlights:

1) An older protagonist, not reborn as a baby or young child (and therefore her characterization is more realistic).

2) She gets revenge on her son (who she refers to as a slab of bbq-pork).

3) The people she gets revenge on deserve it, not just for what happened in her past life, but for their actions in the present. Much of her revenge revolves around traps and pitfalls - if they didn't do bad things in this life they wouldn't receive her reprisal.

Summary: To be honest there isn't a whole lot of substance. In her reborn the life the main character is very over-powered to the point that some of her abilities are pretty superfluous. (Some are even supernatural, which isn't really that necessary in an otherwise realistic modern setting). But it is still enjoyable to see her take revenge where the punishments truly fit the crimes. Worth a binge when you have time.  <<less
