I cried bucket of tears!!! The "seashell gun" and the "pink and mint pearl"gift while Ming Shu is in the hospital part killed me (I need someone to bury me... anyone?), I used 3 BOXES of kleenex..3!!!!! There's a lot of parts that you'll shed tears (bawl), poor little Ming Shu, he suffered a lot as a child. Don't get me wrong there's a lot of funny parts as well. Thank goodness that our ML, Xiao Yu’an was a doting gege and was always there to protect and guide Ming Shu.

Their relationship unfolds beautifully. Others may find it a little weird but from the very start  these two loves each other unconditionally, from childhood to adulthood. Story 10/10 <<less

I LOVE everything in this novel. The shou is strong, kindhearted. He has been repeatedly taken advantage of before his rebirth, he woke up desiring no revenge. He won't act unless provoked that's what I like best about our MC. Nevertheless, he's smart and never allowed anyone to take advantage of him again. I cried and was broken hearted because of the MC, how he struggled and finally was victorious in the end (thanks to our ML for the support and love!!!!). As for our gong, he's over bearing but really loves the shpu. He's always there giving invinsible hands to help our MC from the start. AND not to mention the sweet little child that completed the family of three! I am so in love with this one and will definitely re-read. Story 9.5/10 <<less

I like the author's storytelling style, also the translation is really good.

I was introduced to the Chinese mythological creatures which is very much interesting and enjoyed very much. The side characters are lovable as well. Fu Li is one of my favorite type of shou, he's very sweet, innocent, pampered, adorable and law abiding but not the push over type, he's very much OP.  Zhuang Qing is also one of my top ML, he's a little tsundere, doting and very supportive of Fu Li's dream, he's very much OP too btw.

I love the uncle and auties that raised Fu little Li, but I'm a little sad that uncle tiger and uncle tortoise came tooooo late and wasn't able to attend Fu Li's wedding and there's not enough story about the two late comers. I would really love it if they have a little bit more of screen time.

The realization of Fu Li's feelings started when Little Zhuang accidentally bought a cond*m, mistaken it as a chewing gum. Lmao!!!

There's a little angst around the end of the story, but don't worry it's a happy ending.

I loved the characters, the plot, the world building and the pacing. The characters were all quite well-developed and had personality. At first I wanted to smack Baili Qingmiao, I mean what's wrong with you girl?!!?! Hè Wenzhao is an a**hole, although he considered himself "righteous" in some aspect, but come on now, you belong to the righteous sect, no? Oh well, usually it's the righteous sects that are more evil than those in the Demonic sect. Good thing she finally realised and was able to conquer her infatuation! ugh!

And for my dear Wenren È and Yin Hanjiang, I love these two, although I wanted papapa scenes (author is a little stingy. ha!) I am still satisfied with how their relationship unfolds, anyway this is shounen ai therefore not expecting something wild.  

I also love the side characters Shu Yanyan, Zhongli Qian, Su Huai and Master Shi. I also love the back story of Wenren È and little Yin Hanjiang, it's so cute and at the same time very beautiful. 

That said, it is highly recommended! <<less

Kudos to the translator this novel that is not easy to translate, just imagine translating all that crazy arc, ugh! *clap* *clap*

The writer is a pure genius, impressive I must say. Imagine the storyline, how many days did he/she researched those things. wow! The twist of events, the mind boggling problems, just about everything here for me is perfect.

For the record, the 7th squad are nowhere homophobic at all. Their leader, Song Qinglan has his own reason why he doesn't want to take Ji Yushi to his group. It's more of not wanting anyone to slow down the group because they're aiming for an S-lvl mission which is high risk and doesn't want anyone to get hurt because he always blames himself in the process. 

I love the 7th squad interactions, how they gradually accepted Ji Yushi and acknowledges the fact that he's not a "flower vase". JY is a total package beauty, brain and skills. Song Lan is handsome, arrogant and very smart as well but not a total jerk, imo. The other side characters are hilarious and c*ckblocker as a group. lol 

I love the story so much but I need to reread some part to totally understand the whole scenario. This might not be for everyone, but for me who loves easy story, fluff, meng and dog food, I say this is also a good read. Please do try. Story is 10/10 <<less

It's about them growing up... more>> together as "brothers" to a very sweet couple (they are not blood related, btw). The way the author portrayed both the protagonists' inner struggles is very much realistic especially Song Yu's. Their coming out is the saddest part, made me cry, good thing their parents accepted their relationship although they were hurt at first (and I think that it's normal for them to feel that way to be honest). I love SY's family and the friends around them, very supportive of their relationship. There's also no s*upid villains as well, thank goodness. BTW there's R18 moments as well, so just be ready. AND dont forget the extras as well! This, overall is a nicely written story although a little slow for others, but I believe it doesn't lack any sweetness between the two. <<less

The tragedy tag? Oh yeah, it's there for a reason, my heart breaks with the 8 suffering arcs! ugh! BUT don't get me wrong it's a HE!!! yay!

First, let's talk about Can Ji.[spoiler]Who the heck is hating on his character? I mean, why? He's arrogant and imposing for a reason. He's one of the mythical creature- and the strongest one that is, who could devour heaven and earth, who never bowed down to anyone. He's a demon and a dijun afterall. He's a perfect discription of that mythical creature to a T. [/spoiler]He's a very doting partner and loves our Jing Lin a lot. Although he's very possessive of him and from time to time goes overboard with the teasing, our MC is very understanding and would let Can Ji to get away with it. *wink*And Jing Li, aweeee! Poor guy, he's been used and brainwashed by the so called "father".

[spoiler]My heart breaks when he was confined in the sarcophagus, he's trying to remember everything and keeps calling his beloved. "...take me home... gege" my poor dear heart! I cried so much. [/spoiler]

Of course my fave characters, the little stone figure, kyahhhh! so adorable! Fu Li, Qianyu, Huashang, Fei Lou and Dong Jun. I also like Li Rong for some reason and Shuran!

The wedding day, lmao! I roared with laughter and clapped my hands like Dong Jun! It's hilarious. Overall, this is highly recommended! Please give it a shot! <<less

The MC is like a driftwood to the ML, he's his only hope and was the only person who's there when everyone abandoned him. The ML's possessive to a T, for a reason and MC's in love with the protagonist's character from the start (black powder reader/fan), although at first he's a little bit confused and was pushing for the "real" plot to take place. The romance is a little slow but once the MC realised his feelings everything is so cute and fluffy. 

It's a fun read with a healthy dose of smut. The etra chapters are good as well. Story- 9/10 smut 9/10. <<less

Third, Song Qingshi is not dumb, I repeat he's NOT dumb. There's a reason for him being like that which I am not gonna spoil. So people calling him dumb and other names..lol. Seriously, are we reading the same novel? ahhhhh! You're on chapter what? 1? 39? 40? 53? oh please *eye roll*

Fourth, the plot twists are really good and interesting, so please don't drop it, don't give up!!!! Finish until the end.

After the gong transmigrated, the supposed to be dog blood novel turned into a very sweet, endearing novel. The plot doesn't have any angst, it's smooth sailing and the protagonists slowly developed their feelings towards each other. I especially liked the "extra" stories. Also, don't get duped by the synopsis, the novel is nothing like that, at all! Give this novel a chance, read until the end to fully appreciate the story. The translator did a very good job translating this beautiful story.

First, not sure where it says in the story that Jiang Tian is homophobic, cause he's NOT. He suffered neglect from both of his parents and was forced to mature early. He might appeared cold in the outside but he's a really warm person but with insecurities because of the childhood trauma. 

Sheng Wang, the little ancestor is such a sweetie, a little spoiled sometimes. lol. He and JT's personality is strark contrast, although he suffered lost and neglect from his father he grew up with a sunny disposition.

I love their journey -their school life, friendship, the beginning of their love, the heartache, the separation and the heartwarming reunion. The pacing is just right and well developed. Also, shout out to their close friends who after discovering their relationship didn't judge them instead, they try to understand and accept the relationship in contrast to their very negligent parents. But I kinda understand where the parents are coming from actually, but then again their way is too much especially SW's dad.

There's everything in this story, fluff, humor, angst, pain and heartwarming events that shaped the relationhip of our main protagonists. That said, this is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! <<less

Each chapter although very short, it still gives you a lot of fluff and funny moments. I love how the little wifey understands his husband's silliness and how the husband in return dotes and protects his wifey although most of the time he's eating vinegar.This is a really nice novel it's like a mini fairytale story but BL style. <<less

The storytelling is so good, the description of each dreamscapes are vivid. Both the author and the one translating did a very good job! Kuddos to both of them!

The first 2 chapters and the last 2 chapters both made me cry. The former, is heartheart-wrenching while the latter is happy tears. Thank goodness for the HE for everyone except for the evildoers.

Also, you might get a little upset with our gong at first but be patient, once they got together, he's super doting and loving with our shou. It's a very slow romance but from the very start you can feel that our gong and shou's already developing some feelings to each other. I also love the interactions of everyone around them, how they were able to conquer their real life obstacles and their dreamscapes "monsters". 

Also there's a trigger warning so be warned, it's there for a reason.Chen Kai's arc is too sad. The story between him and his lover breaks my heart. The thing is, this happens in real life so this is more heartbreaking. Hope he finds his happiness soon.

The plot, the characters and world building is really good, just be a little bit patient because it takes a lot of chapters to know who the real life "general" is but you'll get subtle clues along the way. Happy reading!!!! <<less
