The length of the novel was not too long, just right, and there was never a chapter that made me feel bored. Still, I like how both the ML and MC's growth throughout the novel, and the side characters are quite loveable.I don't really like the MC and ML themselves though. MC is a typical OP white lotus that is extremely ignorant on love, the kind that only knows to say 'no' and 'stop' , and the ML is the typical cold-faced overbearing gong.But still, I like the the premise of the novel a lot, it's actually set after the main apocalypse, and talks about how humans are living caged in their base. Definitely a more novel take on the apocalypse, compared to the other novels that starts with before the end of the world. <<less

A very 'formal' apocalypse novel, it focuses mainly on levelling up and grinding. The romance line was quite interesting. There are a few annoying pests that constantly generate some face-slapping scenes, which was a little frustrating at times. Also, the grinding part was very detailed and quite recurring. Eg. a level 7 monster was found, they grind, consume some crystals, level up, and defeat it. Then a level 8 monster.... and the cycle goes on. What this novel gives off is the vibe that it is more targeted towards the male audience, as the love line seems a little lacking.

Nonetheless, I liked the fact that the MC was already a zombie at the very start, it was definitely a unique point! <<less

I got sick of it. But then again, with such a title, I should have expected it. Guess I couldn't stand to wait till the sugar was here before i gave up. <<less

9/10.When I first read it, I was super skeptical, as the ML was still a child in the early chapters. I had to go back to the main page several times to double confirm the name of the ML- and to check if there was any pe*ophilia/ lo*icon tag >< Especially since the MC was around his 30s, and the ML was portrayed to be 6-7 years old. Thank goodness, after the MC gains his golden finger, ML gets healed and regains his former teenage self.... more>>

But anyways, this novel has such excellent pacing, such that not a single chapter has made me felt like i wanted to give up. The flow was smooth, the action was well written out, and even the side characters were interesting. What was the most interesting though, was the MC himself. Which I am pleasantly surprised, as most MCs I read usually turned out to be perfectly OP, or perfectly white lotus. This MC, though white lotus, actually acknowledges the fact that he is overly kind in such an unpleasant environment, which ends up bringing greater burdens to his partner and his teammates. He not only acknowledges it, but strives his best to curb it. And apparently, the MC has a hidden background too,and it was such a big surprise to me, as he seemed so mild, and so like your typical uncle-next-door. The ML too, his emotional growth was stunning. He was like the typical mysterious, OP and cold-hearted Gong, but under the MC's influence, he himself grows to have a heart, not only for his partner, but also for the environment around him.

Did I say this was action packed? Because it really was, so much that it went out of this world. Warning though, this novel is a quite gory and has quite heavy elements of sci-fi.

Overall, I love this novel so much, so anyone that went as far as to read it till the end, please, do give it a try. <<less
