Delz Recommendation List (detailed)
As an avid wuxia/xianxia/litrpg novel reader for the past 8+ years these are some of the best of the best out of the hundreds I've completely read. I personally enjoyed the journeys and some even have somewhat decent endings. All are mostly completed novels, with a few enjoyable ongoing ones, tried arranging from highest rated to lowest but just see them as with no particular order. Most are worth the read. Of course these are all my own personal preferences, everyone has their own.

Also a few highly recommended Novels outside of NU you may enjoy (see synopsis in comment section):

1. Mother of Learning

2. Shadow s*ave (S-L-A-V-E)

3. Supremacy Games

4. The Primal Hunter

Disclaimer: These novels are highly addictive and can get you lost in and immersed in their own worlds resulting in a lot of personal time/life wasted, read at your own risk.

A humorous enjoyable, pet and cultivation novel. It's the story of our MC who gets reincarnated into a scifi Cultivation World receiving an OP weird System related to his pet store. MC is humorous, outspoken and overbearing, getting him into lots of fights. Other than the MC, there is also his friends/pets, each of which have a story of their own who are also interesting. There's a lot of world hopping and exploration, though the cultivation ranks can get confusing due to the various worlds and probably translation issues, but over all it's still a pretty good novel. The journey of the MC to become an Ultimate existence is fascinating and addicting. Give it a... more>>

Also from the same author (Goose Five) of "Immortal Mortal", it has a twist as the story's setting in the beginning is set in our modern day world, where our MC is transmigrated from the cultivation world!  As he figures a way to re-cultivate & return back to the cultivation world he overbearingly slaughters his way to dominate this world and the next.. A lot of unnecessary CN nationalism and frustrating parts in the beginning but still entertaining in itself. The writing style and protagonist is similar to Immortal Mortal's which I quite enjoy - decisive and smart. Similar to IM, the ending is disappointing as this one abruptly ends on a cliffhanger? Still worth... more>>

The is a very classic vrmmorpg game esc novel. Well worth the read even if just for the magic system alone. MC chooses mage in a new 'vr' game. Questions the truth about the game and eventually discovers that abilities from the game can be brought over to earth such as magic, just that there isnt much mana here on earth. The plot is sufficiently interesting to guide the MC to explore and develop his magic right up until the very end where it devolves into mostly nonsense where a whole bunch of loose ends were left hanging at the end, but still despite that, a pretty enjoyable read.... more>>

Thought it would be silly because of the title. But I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised to discover this gem. Yes, the panel is a cheat of all cheats and it made the progression somewhat too smooth but heck, everybody loves an MC with a great cheat. Gives a twist to your normal cultivation story but still has a solid story that was just too fun to read. Give this a shot as its one of those a quick short reads (too short) that you will be sure to enjoy.... more>>

Essentially the only story I've ever seen where a talentless MC is, in fact, talentless. His cheat allows him to grow at a nearly similar-to-normal speed, but he's still mostly outclassed by the talented. It also has a great 'cheat' item that still has room for development. Over all a pretty enjoyable read. There's a sequel to this that I finished in the raws (MTL) but I felt it wasn't as good as this first novel arc, so for me the sequel didn't make the final cut to our recommended list.... more>>

If you like IET novels, you'll like this one. It's one of his smaller works, similar to the Nine Cauldrons & Seeking the flying sword. But it's long enough for my taste. It has the requisite elements of a boy growing up to become a superpower. In addition, because it's shorter, the scale in much of the novel is closer to human -- cities are in the low millions, distances in the world are in thousands of miles; character ages are in decades or at most centuries, not millions of years. Pretty enjoyable.... more>>

IET's (I Eat Tomatoes) latest completed novel. I was put off at first by the title but gave it a shot as I love IET's novels and wasn't disappointed. The setting is near future Earth which has just discovered cultivation & the expanse of worlds beyond. As earth is exposed to the greater universe there is an urgency to have its own power house protector. Our MC - Xu Jingming comes along, once a legend in the martial arts, due to an injury he had lost his dream to become the best in the world. Another great Korean novel. Follows an MC who turns out to have been granted the power of a god, or is a god, or was a god... honestly not too sure. Regardless, he decides to save the world, cause no one else can.. Lots of main character development and world building. Everything is very cohesive and there's plenty of twists and turns to throw off the reader from the usual predictable ending... but sadly it peaks in the mid 100ish chapters and plummets from there. Still an enjoyable read as its so good its been made into a popular Manhwa & even an Anime version is coming out soon.... more>>

The title itself says it all as to it's unique storyline which was pretty entertaining. Read this entire novel in the span of a few days. That's how much I liked it (plus it's a short read). However, the latter part felt rushed and ending really ruined it (last 2 chapters). Over alI, loved the development and foreshadowing that occurred throughout the rest of the novel, but that isn't enough to make up for the horrible ending Imao. Still was a great enjoyable read.... more>>

Great wish fulfillment novel - MC with an eye superpower (very cool). If you don't want to see how MC is raised from a weak boy in a backcountry to the literal God of the World, then why would you even be here? This is the best part of the CN novels, if you want just the story, then there are a lot of Western and JPN books with deep and complex storytelling, but there are almost no such strength rides like this. This is just weak to strong story without all those things which can distract you from it. No such cruelty like in Martial God Asura, no super harem like in Against the... more>>

Humorous fun novel where MC has a sandbox type System cheat that helps him develop and expand his kingdom while collecting subordinates. If you're tired of heavy novels, this is a good novel to shut off your brain to take a break as its a light hearted novel that you can definitely indulge yourself in after doing work. There is no tension in the story, so it's good for those people who don't want to experience emotional rollercoasters. It also provides chuckles from time to time. Sometimes it gets repetitive but it's within an acceptable range. A quick enjoyable read.... more>>

Starts as an immersive enjoyable read. The way the MC cons his way through situations sort of reminded me of LOM (Lord of Mysteries), also it's nice that he progresses in abilities and his insta kill cheat isn't all he's stuck with, sadly it peaks in the mid chapters and plummets from there as more potential development was cut short. Overall it's worth the read for the journey and excitement of some moments, but just brace yourself for the rushed ending. Don't have too high expectations and just try to be understanding and you'll enjoy this short novel.... more>>

I was pretty bored with the Korean tower/dungeon genre, and I couldn't read passed the 100-chapter mark on most of them. This novel grabbed my attention by chapter 10. It only took me about 2 days to read through it since I was not getting bored throughout it. This novel also has the best ending of any Korean tower/dungeon genre I've read so far. Every plot thread was answered and finished. If you like the novel by chapter 20, you can easily finish the rest. I'd give it a read.... more>>

It's an enjoyable short novel that details the life of a poor man, Kang-jun, as he rises to the top through battle and enlightenment. Though violent, the mood pertaining to the story is peaceful, not unlike what you might find in a slice-of-life novel. Like its name, it's one of those governing power fantasy novels involving dimensions. It follows a pretty generic path, with our MC being the lord, having to govern his land, conquering others, etc. the concept of having to conquer separate worlds and not just territories somehow gives this novels uniqueness. Go in not expecting a legendary saga, but an enjoyable wish-fulfillment entertaining quick read.... more>>

MC can go to different worlds through a mysterious system simulator. The unlimited flow theme of this story is quite satisfying, and the MC is able to grow exponentially more OP as he unearths more uses for the simulator. Appreciated the diversity in each world and the MC's personality in being cautious and steady whenever he acted. Overall the  novel was very enjoyable. I enjoyed this, long at times, but a great storyline. I read this as I heard it was very similar to WMW (Warlock of the Magus World) which I liked. If you like a lot of details, an MC that’s not too OP but calculating who has guts, no harem and actually well written baddies - this will be an enjoyable read. Be forewarned though, as much as I liked it, I hated it just as much. Why? The ending is a cliffhanger of the worst kind, the story was literally dropped in the middle like our #40 TORL.. So why the recommendation? It's been 2-3 years since I read this and I still remember... more>>

This novel is about the son of a Celestial Emperor that learned basically everything, which our MC makes use of to overcome enemies he face. It has some interesting world building and aspects about alchemy. However, the author likes to drag out events and this novel would be perfect for people who like to stockpile chapters. Overall still a solid read. The story, progression, world building, and characters can't be heavily criticized when put into the context of other most read novels in its genre. Ending still a bit disappointing.... more>>

A great novel of a modern day man transmigrated into our MC - Norton Lorist, a noble youth exiled from his homeland to study, who then goes back to inherit the family Lord position and goes on to use his modern day knowledge to kick start technological advancements in warfare. In a bid to conquer and build his kingdom. It has wonderful plot progression. Good Character building and medieval settings. If you ignore the blood, gore and s**, then its a great novel. Sadly it got stopped (dropped) due to some CN censorship. Still recommending it, because even though it's unfinished, it was an entertaining journey as short as it lasted.... more>>

MC becomes an elven thief in a world that he knows the future of.. with the ambition of achieving godhood. For those fans of Dungeons&Dragons, this may sate your cravings as this has lots of forgotten realm D&D pantheons, battle of gods, town building & multiverse struggles. Well worth the read even if just for the concept of achieving godhood D&D style & battling gods alone. The story kept me interested for awhile but towards the latter parts something felt missing. Lots of laughs, sluggishly realistic, but captivating in its own unique way. With a frustrating protagonist (not so sharp), I can say it has the most painstakingly slowest cultivation progress of all novels you will ever read. A great read not withstanding but towards the end it seemed as the latter parts weren't as enjoyable, as I felt let down with our MCs personality towards the end (maybe as I had to read the later parts in MTL? or as I like smarter MCs?). Here are my reviews/ synopsis of the recommended Novels outside of NU I gave above:

Supremacy Games - At first I was a bit turned off by the title and comedy but boy was I wrong. This is one of those hidden gems that you hope you'll eventually stumble upon. It's about a guy- Felix Maxwell who was destined to be a loser, he was forced to face adversity head-on when he stumbled upon a ruin where a supreme being laid imprisoned, trying to take over his body. He then wakes up in his younger body, 20 years in the past with the fallen being trapped in his soul. Earth needs a hero as it's going to be invaded soon so he does his best to prepare for whats to come. In his past life he had been a loser, but now he swears to take advantage of his knowledge and emerge as a supreme being. The world building and action is amazing. For anyone reading this just go straight ahead and dive into Supremacy Game, and i guarantee 99/100 people will love it.

Shadow-s*ave - Another hidden gem. This is about a guy named Sunny who lives in a dystopian future where people are forced to periodically visit a magical world and battle terrible monsters (like KN system apocalypse novels but done better). If they survive, they receive special powers. The world is believable and realistic, detailed and fleshed out. The story development is fairly intriguing and immediately hooks you in. It jumps quickly to the action, making the plot move at an enjoyable pace. Every chapter is filled with suspense and will keep you longing for more. As the story progresses, the mystery keeps climbing. All in all, it's a solid novel, the one true gem of webnovel.com. The writing is captivating, the story is compelling, and the characters are full of life in a world full of death and abounding with terrifying beasts.

The Primal Hunter- This is a great post apocalyptic system style litRPG that gave me loads of fun. It follows the paths of a group of office workers that are taken from their work place suddenly and transported to the Multiverse, due to a system apocalypse in which they have to survive a period of time within a designated tutorial scenario. Our MC- Jake Thayne then proceeds to kick-ass with complete disregard for any pre-system norms to become the strongest human on the planet.

Mother of Learning- One of my absolute favorites. The premise of MoL is simple. Zorian Kazinski is an average 15-year-old mage with equally as average magical abilities. At the end of the month, on the night of his cities Summer Festival, everything goes unimaginably wrong. Somehow, he finds himself reliving the previous month over again. He has to find a way out of this never ending time loop by any means necessary. To do that, he has to learn all there is to know about magic while finding unlikely allies along the way. Luckily, he’s got plenty of time to get things right. After all, repetition is the Mother Of Learning. Overall, I loved reading MoL. Zorian's growth in character and power was pretty enjoyable. The time loop never felt repetitive or exhausting, even though it consisted of reading about the same month repeatedly. If I had one complaint, the final few chapters before the climax felt slightly rushed compared to the previous 90 chapters. In the end, MoL was an addicting, fun, and overall joy to read. Even though it was a bit long long, I wish I could read more. Whether you are a fan of time loop or time travel in the fantasy genre, MoL is worth the read if you are a fan of magic school in fantasy also.
