MC being weaker than his companions is a bonus too, as we get a lot of moments where everyone gets protective of him. <<less

i haven’t read the novel but i will once it catches up to the manga. what i loved about this is how the MC is only really focused on getting stronger to survive the future apocalypse. he wants NOTHING to do with the original protagonist but every time he tries to sever the ties, the protagonist just gets more interested in him! it sounds like a BL but it isn’t (two males showing interest in one another shouldn’t automatically be BL right?) so it’s pretty refreshing!... more>>

i also like how his change in attitude changed others’ plans, tho he has no idea of it. he’s a lot more important now in their eyes than he used to be before. <<less

But not just any stories, they’re horror stories, and they all use elements from that world. MC loves reading these stories but is scared of actually experiencing the horror. But because he memorizes the stories and has a knack for problem solving and thinking out of the box, he manages to survive the stories he gets thrown into. I love love love his relationships within the company as well! <<less
