Notes: 1st Person POV, slow burn, subtle but intense romance

Premise: Chi Nan, an aspiring musician who has followed his dreams despite all obstacles, finds himself unable to debut. Luckily however, he’s helped by his idol, Salinger, and was given the job of his assistant allowing Chi Nan to stay by his side and watch the band and bassist he’s admired since high school, the ones who inspired him into taking the path to music.

Thoughts: Came in expecting a fun light read that I wouldn’t need my brain for but was instead hit in the face by a strong dose of reality. Really good though and despite me being left wanting for more, it’s really just because I’ll miss Chi Nan and Salinger, leaving me bereft and longing for more, otherwise the ending itself was perfect.
