Well, let's talk about my taste in general, so you can decide whether you really want to bother reading my lengthy rants or not: https://justpaste.it/1r42y

Just a warning though — I do have unpopular tastes, I totally admit it. But aside from my bottom line, I more or less do end up reading novels with some of the stuff from my dislikes section if I hear about it everywhere, as I'm impulsive and tend to give into hype easily. That's why I've read the likes of 2ha despite hating noncon (talking about 2ha though, HAOYIXING WHEN?), I wanted to know what the others were talking about and just wanted to 'fit in' in a way. If you've got a taste similar to mine though, please let my lonelyass know lol. Let's be friends.

At first, it had everything I could ever ask for: a strong mc, a ml who actually learnt from his mistakes, the shou not being called a 'wife' for his position, ®ape ACTUALLY being taken seriously for once, an interesting storyline that was more complex than anyone could ever guess. But then... they got into relationship and apparently, the mc's consent suddenly doesn't matter anymore. He legit said "A man can't say no" (yes, the exact wording) and would put up with whatever the ml would do to him. Even the ending was iffy because the mc would just get lost into his nerdy hobbies and had to legit set up a TIMER to 'satisfy' the ml on time because he forgets to f*ck with him everyday and idk it's weird as hell. Like just make them both willing instead of making it seem like it's his duty to 'provide sex' at all times? I mean, what's there to even 'remember' if he's completely willing?? And if I remember correctly, the ml would lock him up in an illusionary place that the mc can't leave until he 'satisfies' him and his clones. Which makes this even weirder.

He also repeatedly mentioned to the side characters, in all seriousness, that he's not a 'woman/wife' or less of a man for being gay and liking the ml/their sect master, I thought I finally found an author who takes this seriously but, of course, the side characters treated it like a joke and called him a 'mistress' behind his back anyways. Then it became a running gag in the novel.

And let's not forget what the peac*ck guy did to the original protagonist shou the mc was supposed to rescue. He pretended to be a woman (no, he's not trans before anyone gets mad at me, the author emphasis that he's a 'trap' who gets off to deceiving straight men), lured him into s*x, and revealed at the last moment that he's a man to top him till his body hurts the next morning. That's NOT how consent works. There's nothing wrong with him being a crossdresser but knowing that the og protagonist, someone who has been penetrativily r*ped for YEARS and still has trauma regarding s*x because of it, was planning on being the one of top and then penetrating him without even asking him was a scummy behaviour at best, ®ape by deception at worst. In fact, it fits the literal definition of ®ape by deception: "®ape by deception is a situation in which the perpetrator deceives the victim into participating in a s*xual act to which they would otherwise not have consented, had they not been deceived. Deception can occur in many forms, such as illusory perceptions, false statements, and false actions."

If that sounds bad enough, he later ruined his reputation everywhere and framed HIM as the one in wrong, a scummy man who took advantage of the peac*ck guy and just abandoned him after s*x. He did this for literal decades. I just don't get it. Why couldn't the author keep him as a crossdresser but made him reveal his gender BEFORE s*x so they could discuss each other's boundaries instead of the ®ape victim getting penetratred without his consent, having all this blamed on himself, and still ending up with the man who did this to him?

Why author, why? You shouldn't have given me hope just to take it away ●█▀█▄ it almost felt like someone else wrote the latter half of the story. <<less
