Here is the list of the best translated novels you can find, be it Japanese, Chinese or Korean. (This list is based on my taste and subjective opinion and our opinions and taste might differ). Although I tried to rank it, but you should READ all these novels nevertheless, that's a MUST.
This list mainly features novels from two genres : ACTION (mainly cultivation novels) and ROMANCE (preferably tragic romance which leaves deep impression on you) and excludes YAOI/BL (not a big fan of those)
If any novel isn't on this list, its because :
1. I haven't read it yet. (Believe me, I have read 300+ big-ass novels if not a thousand)
2. I didn't like it. (It may be good, just didn't suit to my taste)
Apart from this, if you are looking for ORIGINAL novels, you should give the following a try :

I have tried several 'female protag' novels in the past, but just couldn't connect with them and eventually gave up. If you like novels with female protag, try 'I Married An Exasperating Eunuch', not an action story, but a sweet one. I am sure you will love it

With just a glance I came to know that we are pals! Most of the novels in list are in line with my taste or I have read and considered tham the best. Iam too picky about while beginning to read one. Something fundamental inside me stopped me from continuing with orabarus circle. I Remember death flag had very slow release/translations. Iam at ch 12 of Issac should I continue? My instincts tell me it's fools gold.
Would you recommend me renegade or 2nd life ranker? It sounds a lot like solo leveling. Or a monster who levels up.
For your reference you can consider 2nd coming and lord of mysteries which I consider as perfect world building with top grade world building character development and plot.
Most importantly why the hell is Dungeon defense not on the list?
@unrivaledfury Ouroboros was kinda dark while Death Flag has been on hiatus since a year or two with a random chap release in between *tired of waiting for that to complete*
I would really recommend you to continue with Isaac, it's a slow poison which grows over you slowly, but it has a really slow translation rate of some 1-2 chaps a with (40 or so chap are left till the novel completes)
Renegade Immortal is an absolute gem, just a lil below Reverend Insanity (i call them RI duo), it starts slow, and after some 200 chaps, you are in for a ride.
SLR is also a decent novel.
I did try Dungeon Defense (first 3 vol) but then I saw it's on hiatus (or won't continue further) and it drained me of my motivation. I did wanted to do for the WN, but people told me LN is a better version and the author messed up the ending...so i guess, I haven't yet completed DD
We have much in common and I do agree with most of the list (especially the Korean ones).
But I am unsure about some novels like City of Sin, Warlock of the Magus World. Although, I haven't read them but the reviews are mostly toxic.
AWE was good until MC stepped into the eternal domain. Utter disappointment!
@Grid-sama Hi ! Its the short form of the novel name mentioned in OP. CoS as in City Of Sin and WMW for Warlock Of Magus World. Also, AWE stands for A Will Eternal
@Daoist Ghoul I do agree that the reviews are sometimes misleading but wuxiaworld itself is a shady platform from my perspective. Not in a sense that they review it themselve but the way they get the license to translate only the worst rated published novels except for some masterpieces like SCOG or Ranker's Return. They have the potential to get the best translators out there but on the other hand, don't pick the popular novels that are on-hold for sometime.
BTW, thanks for the advice and do tell about the ending of CoS... Was it bad or good?
