I found the mysterious side and the progressive discovery of the well-established big picture. I think the secondary characters could have been a little more in-depth, but the story is already good like that. MC and his band are colorful characters, ML also has his special little thing, I like them all very much. For me, the value of angst isn't too high and the story doesn't have a heavy atmosphere. This is not a story about revenge, but more about untying the knot in the hearts of our protagonists. The "bad" people have had their retribution, although I wish a certain person had taken a hit or two, rather than being left alone...

It's a story of transmigration in ancient times, where the MC climbs the social ladder through his efforts and seizing opportunities. The love story must face obstacles because ML's past comes knocking at the door. There's a slice of life, but there's plenty of drama and slaps along the way.

Personally, I find the main antagonist's ending (with the cannon fodder associate to him) disappointing and inconsistent with the information previously given by the author. Maybe it's a problem with mtl, but it's still an "easy" conclusion, they destroyed themselves and that's it. Except that part, the rest is pretty good.
