There is a lot of backstory revealed in later chapters that clears everything up, so don't expect to hate the same characters for the whole novel. I guess... I want to see the main couple make up and Chloe make a life for herself. Not necessarily divorce him or anything, but I want to see her pursue something she really enjoys, make actually good relationships, and gain confidence in her own skin. I enjoyed the romance aspect quite a lot. It's sort of a civilized x feral but both sides compromise to meet a common ground. FL sets her boundaries as clearly as she can, and ML does his best to accomodate that. He also has his way of life and she adapts to that. (...this is just a sophisticated way of saying I thought Ryan was hot, isn't it XD)

One final note, I felt bad for Eric T_T. He kept being left behind with no prior notice. I hope he doesn't worry about JXO too much. <<less

Because the characters are realistic, they make a lot of bad choices. FL is young and naive due to her upbringing, and the ML is close-minded and inconsiderate due to his. Put the two together, and....you have a mess. It's not a cathartic read for me, but I'm invested in the story and would like to see more. ... more>>

Ideally, he would find a cure for his "madness" before searching for her after she's lost her memories, but from the prologue, I don't think that is the case. FL is a very pitiful character; I hope the ML will learn some selflessness and give them a happy ending. <<less

I both love and hate that Xian is so dumb. The love part comes from her narration. I love unreliable narrators, and Xian is written quite well. The author makes her dull mind an important part of the story and her character, not just a plot device to make her unaware of her situation. However, it is excruciating as a reader seeing her sister's advances pass blindly over her head. Xian, he doesn't hate you, he's rather infatuated with you!!! I love this novel so far but it is painful to read. I must be a masochist... <<less
