It's played off as opening up the ML to less narrow-minded perspectives (not just zombies evil, humans good) but sometimes it has undertones of the MC corrupting ML to betray humanity. You could even read it as a "bad ending". Because of the comedy sometimes its hard to tell if its gaslighting or just a prank lol. It's so subtle and delicious I really love it and haven't seen dynamics like it in other stories. But yea it's probably not most people's cup of tea. <<less
