The personality of the protagonist is good and is subsequent throughout the story. The only thing I found irritating was the excessively careful mentality of the protagonist which was most visible in the beginning of the novel (first 100 chapters) and that he tip-toed around enemies that he honestly just could stomp over without sacrificing much (e.g. NA and the quantum computer arc).

If you can read past the first ~100-150 chapters it's a really good story. <<less

If the story was 10x longer and showed more arcs of building the characters strength I would have loved it. Still one of my first novel reads and will always have an important place in my heart. Kinda good protagonist. I liked the ruthlessness personality but disliked his *extreme* obsession with women and interc**rse. I could however overlook it as the story progressed since it didn't affect his way of thinking and acting and he only acted for his own profit and gains throughout the story and discarded everything else as garbage like every normal human being would.

I hated the fact that the translators supposedly censored explicit scenes. 

I disliked the authors way of adding "Shi Yan was frightened/Shi Yan was scared/Shi Yan had a dark face ... " in almost every interaction with enemies and later dealt with it/them as nothing. Better to have a cold stone protagonist.

I absolutely hated the time skips. Most of the time skips occurred due to the protagonists idiotically deciding to cultivate (or randomly doing s*upid things like strolling around the whole planet for 10 years) before or during an important event/battle which resulted in 90% of the defeats which was really frustrating. 

All in all a good cultivate story that I enjoyed reading. <<less

Decent protagonist, although pe*verted. Biggest downside was his overly careful attitude of not revealing his abilities and creating so many false and annoying situations with lies.
